The point of asking was to fix the passives, not run active. I am SURE that their setup is NOT optimized and you'd be way better off picking your own. They don't release jack because those are cheap shitty crossovers.

I do not believe that the hdc3 would play midbass frequencies with any glory. Also, to my knowledge, midbass frequencies exceed 250 hz which is the maximum LPF I can set on my amplifier. Does this mean that I would lose all frequencies above 250hz? The hd3 doesn't play anything with glory so no surprise there. You would only lose above the LPF on the channels that you set the LPF to.

It doesn't look like I will have the desk space for those 'peekas either. Its looking like a under monitor speaker bar will work best for me, 5.5" tall, 20" wide, and ~7" deep... You could easily wall mount them as well, just hard to get on axis. Under monitor is going to be tough unless you can measure in situ. Otherwise it will be full of compromises. You have enough volume, but the layout is far from ideal. If you are truly stuck there I'd pick a very simple 3" driver and run it full range. By simple I mean one without any anomalies to take out in the crossover....unless of course you fix your Behringer and bring it to work. Hard to get vertical spacing though on a driver and tweet in only 5.5". Full range will probably be the best solution.

On top of that better is rather subjective so don't expect to garner any information from the responses...I would also suspect that the great >95% of the people who have used them have only tried one alignment meaning you'll get responses of what they did without comparing. Pretty simple choice though. If you want more output, port and if you want everything to integrate easier (ie more forgiving in the install) and extra output isn't your need then go sealed.

Again what I don't understand is if they are in the same location why not just have your sub play the midbass as well? As long as it is capable it has more cone area than the 8 you are thinking of using and therefore will do a better job. Having midbass in the back really doesn't work for me at all, but if that stage killer doesn't bother you then there is no reason not to have the sub do the duty.

It would surely take me no extra time to build a new box instead of dinking with that one.
