Too tired to look tonight. On that note, goodnight.
  4. Figured as much. I paid $1,100 for 2 2500's from a guy who bought them and had to sell them before he got to use them so i got the 2500's for a smokin deal, and I guess if I ran linked for around 6,000 watts.... Then should I run Twin 2500's or 1 SAZ-4500? Birth sheets mean nothing. I agree for the most part that they don't... Either you agree or you don't...and you should. They do NOT test to standards meaning that it could be off by more than 50%, I don't expect it to be off that far but either way it isn't audible.

    Anthole ruined that site
  8. It is completely unrelated to output as long as you have a half way decent amp. It is functionally the reason there is a gain knob on the amplifier.

de de de. Either run ~1kw or change what you had your heart set on. Really stupid to do anything different. 4 kappa's as a set will sound like ass, no need for an SQ sub.

X2, a sq setup would never need 2000 watts or even close to that. A true sq car usualy isn't that loud at all. For sq, the substage is one of the least important parts. Actually there is no such thing as a substage. No stage in the sub period. It isn't that a true SQ car can't be loud, just far from dominated by bass. In other words if you truly want SQ you would ask 300 questions about your front stage before ever even thinking about asking about the sub. Bobo had the idea right, just wasn't eloquent in his description.
  18. I don't have full details of your test methods, but I would that you could hear a .5db difference in subbass with a BTL playing at the level of 2-3kw. (or in most circumstances for that matter). In the more sensitive regions of the hearing (midrange, for example) at certain listening levels where your ears aren't being stressed I would agree it's possible for someone to notice a .5db difference, although they probably wouldn't describe it as a difference in volume but rather some other subjective term such as a change in "warmth" or "detail". But in the subbass, especially at high listening levels.....no, probably not. Chances are I could keep playing the same test tone over and over at the same SPL and you'd think you were hearing differences.....especially if you were expecting there to be differences. Unless there were extremely stringent testing conditions maintained, over a multitude of test sessions to verify results, and correct interpretation of the results (you could simply guess and average a right answer 50% of the time) then you probably didn't test anything at all. Sorry I didn't lay my test out for everybody else. This was personal. I'm sorry I can tell differences. That 3dbs to hear a noticeable is bullshit to me. My test was at 45hz and around 140-145dbs. Done right at 15 tests. And I guessed right every time. Now it could be different at 150dbs and so on. But I just stated I can hear the difference of a 1000watts I'm sure. But it could be different details I am hearing that makes it seems its louder or quieter. But regardless I could tell. Also this was a setup I've listened to quiet a lot, which could of effected the outcome. Now somebodies setup I hear today then again next week, I can't tell a difference. Of course you can, psychoacoustics explain more than just that btw.

You won't get anywhere near 12 in trade, probably lucky to pull 7 but you should be able to sell it for that. Definitely not a car a dealership wants ANY part of.

You'd be surprised how antiquated MB is. Hell, it's only been within the past 10 or so years that they've switched to rack and pinion steering. Even mine is not up to par in that regard. Tons of electronics, just not exactly anywhere near cutting edge. Of course, I'd be even more scared if it was.
