Help me pick out some tweeters
Can't tell, but I bet those specs lie. My generic guess is that they are listing the frequency range from 1x Fs and up when it should be at least 2x Fs. In which case those also wouldn't play in the vocal range. The chart J posted is a bit extreme. Depending on how you look at it, 100Hz-1500Hz are the really important frequencies but keeping it happy until 3k won't hurt although I seriously doubt with "150dB daily" music there is anything anywhere near that high that you want to hear. If you were listening to an opera soprano singer perhaps.

Shit sorry Matt, those fuckers.

Nothing wrong with the JL VR Comps. My bet is that it is the install and not the speakers, but since you haven't shared what went into that we can't help fix it.

I haven't looked recently, but had a Whirlpool Duet at my last house and it was great. What are you using the video camera for? Thought about a DSLR + Video option? I have an EOS from cannon in digital. I'm not sure if it does video, but unless it can do at least 30 min at a time I wouldn't be happy. I'm going to be filming a wedding for a friend, and I have wanted a video camera for a LONG time. I would really desire 1080 or better for video. Having high speed functionality would be really great too but I don't want to spend too much. I htought about getting another digital SLR and going that route it's just hard to justify it. The Droid X does HD video and takes video up to 30 minutes at a time... DR01D D03S!!! My dad has one, the camera and optics are complete shit. Pictures look like hell on it. Video is a bit better, but without serious lighting it is completely useless.

Crap, poop & shit. Will be loud but don't solve your issues. Doesn't carry crap like he listed above Perhaps your idea of 'look' isn't so good to use as a reference Then why the hell are you looking at bullet tweeters that don't even play in the vocal range where people sing? All of the ones you linked cannot play low enough to help your problem. If you really "only" just want to hear the words you need a pro audio mid not some stupid high frequency shrill bullet. Horns WILL play low enough, bullet tweets won't. Completely terrible use for this application. The Florida idiots that are all using them have no idea what the hell they are doing so stop paying attention to them. This is exactly why we always ask for direction and information in a thread that is specific and NOT subjective. Until now you never even said it was to hear words. Then you get all these wanna be loud thinking they know something about stereo kiddo's reading your thread and pointing out TERRIBLE solutions for what is your actual problem. The vocal range of the human is severely limited and doesn't go at all into super tweeter realm. Sure harmonics and other information are passed to them, but since you care not about staging and imaging those cues aren't at all necessary for your setup. And your first thought, the SEAS would be even worse. They could start to play in the vocal range but nowhere near the levels that you request. Do yourself a favor, either really state your goals or actually do some research on what your problem is. It would greatly help us give you a solution. One thing for sure though, if it truly is words, then everything that has been recommended in this thread outside of horns/CD-1's is completely useless for what you need and even they will need help in the lower vocal range.

Crap, you've got snow coming and we are expecting 60's this weekend. If the snow was going to stick I'd trade.

To take film at low light of a wedding they are. Optics ain't cheap. True, but in that aspect a real video camera is going to be a significant improvement over any DSLR from what I understand. All the movies/tv shows that are shot with DSLR *cough* House *cough* is more of a publicity stunt and requires a TON more post processing than a real video camera. But I've gotten off topic and the real intention of the discussion. Kinda depends on what you want to do with it. Not for slow moving things or ones that will stay in focus, then DSLR's are FAR superior. Can't beat optics.

Pioneer DEH-P880PRS
Agree with Ryan above, it should just work. If it doesn't you probably have it connected wrong. That being said I have never used mine out of network mode but it was my understanding that it wouldn't effect the sub out either way. As for the mic, you don't want one. Do it by measuring and then adjust by ear. The mic, like nearly all others, is a useless marketing gimic. I tried mine twice with complete horseshit results.

Good camera's aren't cheap on either end. You already have lenses for your EOS...so http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/675617-REG/Canon_4462B001_Canon_EOS_Rebel_T2i.html or things like http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/682488-REG/Canon_4060B001_VIXIA_HF21_Dual_Flash.html Price isn't so different and getting anything cheaper won't really do so well.

If you have no goals why even bother with a sub. You can listen to music daily on the stock stereo so that doesn't help...
