Drove a 550i, XF-S, M5, MB E550, Lexus LS460 Sport, & v8 GS today. GOD are the Lexus teh boring. The GS is a complete piece of jap crap. The LS is quiet, but woopdefuckingdoo. If the XF-S were available in an R two years ago it is probably what I'd be buying although the standard supercharged version just doesn't quite do what the 550i will. The M5 pwns all, but perhaps is beyond what I'd deem as necessary.
  3. "enough" is hard to say. How does it fit in the hole? Of course the proof can be in the pudding a bit as well, if the low end isn't choked it is enough.

Other than being horribly stupid for buying a new car, no big deal. Sure the 4 Runner is fine.

No such thing as fresh crab unless you are a fisherman. It starts to deteriorate REALLY, REALLY fast so it is always cooked and frozen asap. The best in fact is cooked and frozen on the boat. Bristol Bay FTMFW!! Either way, you should NEVER eat at a Red Lobster, fucking terrible.

    Obviously you aren't charging enough
  9. Dayton ND20 would do more than fine. I wouldn't worry about bandpassing, just high pass the tweet with a simple first order passive. You may want to use your active temporarily to find out at what freq though. If not, 15k is probably a reasonable choice for a random guess.

Woot, on the tarmac in minny
  11. The 12 has been used in home audio speakers playing up to 1kHz. Personally that doesn't mean it will blend well with a tweeter in a car. I'd stick with the 3 or go to a 4 & a tweet, but I would first nail down what you have and determine what bothers you. Adding a tweet for just the really high frequencies wouldn't be all that hard.

I am the president of ours. Of course ours is really simple and we need it as it is a private road, beach, and dock area that needs to be paid for somehow.

Weird. Sams used to have the best meat. I really miss sams now that I switched to costco for some things. Costco is SO inconsistant on some items and the meat selection(read beef) is less that what I think is good. Interesting. I have had exactly the opposite experience with Costco being a damn good place for meat. OK, if I get the costco marked "prime" it's great. But the regular stuff is garbage IMO. Sams had a lot of prime cuts in stock every time I was in. All in the sealed bags. I can't even get a brisket with fat on it at costco. Just the super lean "flat". No rid roasts(bone or no bone). Smaller pork ribs. Costco is so dang hit or miss. I also like to have frozen scallops on hand. I know fresh is better but since I'm the only one in the house who likes them if I want them on a whim when just cooking for me it's great. The costco ones seam to be 20% or more smaller in size. Maybe it's the oil spill. :shrugs: I can't find the same cheese either. They rotate the sliced cheese so flipping often, and NEVER have munster. I <3 munster. It's the grilled cheese champ. Have to go to wallmart to get a brisket in a packer. Most of the meat I buy at Costco is in a packer which is exactly how I want it. The exception is their lamb racks which are awesome.

Lots, but I'd never carry water and would like to see you try. 4 days of backpacking would require over 50lbs of water for me. Not going to happen.
  15. What are the advantages disadvantages ect. Its worth a shot to me if i can get it to fit. Basically I am looking to try out different boxes to see the way the icon acts in them. I might have to get a ten so we can do a Tline ect with that!! Of course if that would fit again.. Damb small car. Considering you are asking the benefit in car is dubious and will be failed if you are only willing a single attempt. On top of that without knowing your goals it probably isn't right for you anyways. And even if you bought a 6" driver you don't have space for a T-line. Give that thought up.
  16. That 12 can play more than high enough to blend, but will beam easier. What frequencies do you need it to play to?
  17. I Google imaged it before posting, The scenery is gorgeous!!! I am a bit biased, but considering I live on Lake Minnetonka I think the bias is fair

Depends on a few things really. Does the priming bubble seem slow to recover? That is, does it stay collapsed? On the carburetor, does it have 2 fuel lines coming into it? What brand? On the carburetor, does it have a bowl or are the lines a direct feed into the side of a small square shaped carb? A few things come to mind. If it does not have a bowl, I see a lot of the pump diaphragms go bad, and a carburetor rebuild is on the menu. These carbs are really simple, just a few parts really. Just get a sharp razor blade, a can of carb cleaner, and the carb kit from your local NAPA. Keep the gaskets you take off the carb in order, as you will see several gaskets in the kit that you won't use, and each has some very slight differences. Really the only thing that I see go bad on these (unless you leave it sit and the gas goes sweet) is that diaphragm, and replacing it should be all you have to do. The diaphragm will be under a plate that has a round bulge on it. But I like to clean all the passages with the carb cleaner real good. Second, if it has 2 fuel lines I see those stupid lines break inside the tank all the time. While the single line that feeds the bulb may be good and it will prime, the one that feeds the pump diaghram will be busted and you will see a lot of air bubbles in it, or it will be void of fuel altogether. Third, if the bulb has a hard time recovering you either have a collapsed of clogged fuel line, or a clogged carburetor port that is creating a vacuum on the line prohibiting fuel feed. I use Nationwide for all my homeowners, automotive, and landlord insurance. Generally you get discounts if you choose to carry multiple policies with the same company. It is worth asking your agent about. The lawnmower is a: Scotts 6.5HP(briggs and Straton) I/C Intek Edge OHV Mod:22966X8A first thing that happened the prime bubble started running fuel out the little relief hole when i first filled it up. So i raised the front of the lawnmower up for awhile. Then i came back to mess with it and the bulb no longer leaked. So i proceeded to start the mower. Thus it rain for about ~3 seconds on primed fuel. I was going to tear into it tonight but i work a lil over 12 hours today and it was dark outside already and i ran to wally world to get some carb cleaner and other essentials. The carb does have a bowl underneath it. i believe it only has one fuel line. The plan is to tear into it tomorrow and see whats going on. 9 times out of 10 it just the shit that settles in the bowl starts to clog the pick-up. Second would be that old gas turned to varnish and is gumming everything up. Always start with the simple stuff first. I have all my vehicles and homeowners insurance through Farmers. The more things I insure, the better the deal. I switched from Farmers to Travelers (via a broker) when I was about your age and my yearly insurance bill was nearly cut in 1/3. Seriously. Find a broker you trust and ask them to review your shit EVERY year.

oh they are; they're also fried in Crisco so they are absolutely terrible for you I've been working with this recipe of and on for a while, think I finally nailed it down...yay From the color I can tell they were in hot enough oil which means not so bad for you. (or you cooked them WAY too long in lower, but I doubt that)

The one that an insurance broker you trust suggests. NEVER work with an agent for a single company, in particular at your age. It is the equivalent of throwing money down the drain. ya i was looking into Assurant, because it was supposedly a good deal, im covering 20k of personal property and it works out to be $426 a year. I dunno im still looking. My parents are still picking up the car insurance trying to make them keep that as long as possible even though my car only has liability on it. My parents have state farm FWIW. Your parents are getting raped....they should change to a broker. Really. WAY better coverage and less money. $426 is absurd for renters, it should nearly be free with car insurance. Your car and renters shouldn't be 2x that a year.
  23. Ah, I thought this was going to be a thread about a boat stereo. Either way, Minnetonka > Havasu
  24. dude chill out...i obviousy posted that i know nothing about either woofer man....i just put what i hear out here for you guys to read so i can get more opinions. how am i ever gonna learn what i want without personall opinions? so bash the DDs thats cool but does that mean your saying the BTL is the way to go? cuz thats all i need to know. sorry if im comin off like a dick its just kinda what im gettin out of you man =s And you also obviously don't know how to read the noob guidelines of this forum. You agreed to them when you joined and blatantly ignored them. They are in my sig if you need a refresher. As I stated the first time I posted in your thread, the guy who you are dealing with is flat out lying to you or is an ignorant idiot. You really don't want to waste your money on those DD's.
