IAK needs an "IHOP"
Where/how do you get enough bacon grease to cook 9lbs of fries?? :drools:

Welcome to the IHoP
I understand they need protection for their job so they can do it, but it is usually rather damn easy to see who is dangerous and who isn't.

Twin Towers BUILD LOG
Bracing isn't about exploding but taming the box. Going to have a craptastic response if you don't.

And he was the only one arrested. The cops beat his ass too. As soon as he realized they were they he laid off too. Complete shit.

Coax vs Componet
You really should instead take the same budget and just buy some 6.5's for the front.

xcon or 15 l7 for DEEP bass
You are comparing a brick & mortar priced sub to one that is internet only. The better value should be obvious...

birch ply box
5x the price is the only downside. Make sure you get VOID free. It is lighter and as strong. You still should use 3/4"

Component location problem
No, I didn't hardly read what you wrote. I asked for some specifics which you then responded with a bunch of other stuff regarding wanting an opinion on location. No way in hell can I comment on a different one with the background you've given us so far. Re-reading, I realize you added that they are screwed to a piece of mdf. Not really very complete. Describe what you've done, what you have, and so on. Otherwise it is impossible to help. Pictures never hurt either. Play with more than just the tweeter phase...

A pre-fab box for a loaded BTL15
And whatever company that is has NO idea on how to post what specs, which means I bet they don't know what they mean either. I wouldn't expect it to deliver anything like it states, including the physical size. It'll be a major fart box if anything although I'd expect it to suck at that as well.

Coax vs Componet
6x9's & 3.5's are not the right solution either way, but to help you find what is we really need more information

Thanks, ought to be "fun"

Getting license soon, any random ideas for stereo setup and design
Then you should read it at least 3 more times as it hasn't even come close to sinking in. Well, lead sheets are better The rest of your post was on target. And yes I realize that price performance of lead make it not so logical to use, so if you replace BEST with most logical we could call it all dead nuts.

Twin Towers BUILD LOG
Your room, in particular now, is too small to bother with 7.1. I assume this thread is a joke though anyways after seeing the bracing, obviously you aren't actually going to use those enclosures as is and will turn them into something else. You had me though.

Welcome to the IHoP
cops fucking raped my bil too. There is definitely going to be a lawsuit over this one. 10+ witness and he instantly held his arms up and said, "I'm done" when 5 of them threw him to the ground and choked him so hard his eyes started to pop out, his wedding ring fell off, his glasses were broken, his bracelet and watch were removed, and he pissed himself trying to breath. Brutality bullshit for no reason. This guy is so passive it is ridiculous to happen at all to anyone like him.

Welcome to the IHoP
About when I went to bed....for the second time. 3:30 wake up call from my sister to go and bail her husband out of jail. Some dumbfucking guy sucker punched my sister and then of course her husband went after him and got thrown in a patty wagon. He's lucky I wasn't there, or perhaps I am lucky I wasn't there. Can't imagine how long something would last with a 5'4" 110lb chinese guy vs me.

How Are Sundown compared to jl amps of equivalent power range?
Pyschoacoustics are a bitch. If your amps were truly setup right, you didn't hear a difference but your pocketbook made you think you did.

I need GSM for Europe and 3G for Japan. Whatever local doesn't matter.

Getting license soon, any random ideas for stereo setup and design
He gives himself shit by being a lazy ass and not reading. Every thread, every post, I offer some help and get a stupid response that is mistyped and all reactionary. I've asked him multiple times to re-read his own posts before hitting send, search, and follow the T&C's. Instead we get crap over and over again. I am really an EASY person to get to help you. You just have to try a little bit. He fails at trying and regularly lies, misleads, and makes it tough to understand him by typing like crap.

Getting license soon, any random ideas for stereo setup and design
Just like your test for rears, you again completely missed the point. It ISN'T the speakers that make anything an SQ setup, but the installation. Exactly why your front / rear test failed. Look up cancellation, interference on wiki. Read it. Make sure it is in reference to waves. Then ask a logical question regarding the interaction of the fronts and rears WHEN THEY PLAY THE SAME FREQUENCIES. If you truly read it, I doubt you'll even need clarification, but I guess you probably won't believe it either. After all it is just simple Physics. Read the deadener page that was linked earlier as well. Hell read it 3x. Don't ask another deadening question or for clarification until you do. When you do ask, CITE what you don't understand or need more clarification on. You will be surprised at how much more helpful the answers will become when you spend 5 minutes doing some quick research first. That btw is the appropriate way to ask questions on a forum. If you really want to know how I feel, try to join www.corner-carvers.com. READ their terms and conditions. A light bulb should go off on how to actually get help on a forum. That one is by far the best run forum thread wise I have ever been on.

A pre-fab box for a loaded BTL15
Umm, huge problem. They only give the enclosure volume for one of the two parts of the box. If it is truly a bandpass like they state then there is a whole other enclosure they aren't telling you about. Seems really odd...
-
xcon or 15 l7 for DEEP bass
I seriously doubt you'll hit that goal. Dead giveaway is that you asked the question. If you want low & deep, out of your choices the Xcon will smoke the others. If you want just loud only there are too many other factors to truly know ahead of time. Your box and install will make a huge difference in that regard. The deep bass part with the Xcon will be easy though.

Amp tuning help for Bl 15
isn't the phase like how long it takes to hear the bass depending on how big the car is? If thats the case I have an acura cl (little 2 door).. But i will soon have an evo 8:) No. There are 360 degrees of phase in one full sine wave. I would guess wiki has a decent write up on it, read it, if you have questions ask.

Adding bass to 2010 Camaro
Huh, he posted specs for a dual box? I don't understand how that is for one sub. Adding a baffle and port?

Quoted so I can read later. Babysitting right now You can't baby sit your own child. Side note, don't ever let your wife hear you say that. Huh? That is what I do call it. She's never said anything

Two-way active front stage
If you haven't done a 2 way, I would start there. Just plugging in drivers and switching to active will sound worse than passive, tuning will flip that around though. 6 drivers + sub is a lot to tune. I'd recommend thinking about it in 2 steps. Install something now, play with the tuning, see what you like/don't and then buy what you really want. Your first time out you will want to change something later anyways.
