  2. If you just bolted them where the stock ones were without any other work that is definitely the problem.
  3. 12v aftermarket you mean

Not quite Pantera sexy, but I still want one. I'd really piss off the purists though as I don't want the drivetrain.

Yummy! Needs different wheels, but that is a given on nearly any car of the early 70's.
  6. 8v is completely useless and a marketing gimic. Alpine, Eclipse, and Pioneer are the only choices IMO. Depending on application one could be better than the other. Personally I like the Alpines the least out of that group, but that is based on processing as I need no other features.
  7. You forgot to describe the MOST important thing, the install. I doubt that the equipment was your problem, but how you put them in.
  8. If that is truly the case, buy something other than the focals, worry less about the sub and start asking installation questions as that will have a much, much, much greater effect on the SQ in your system.
  9. Holy crap kid. We need to put a shit filter on anything you say. Home built, roflcopter.

Sounds like you despise a poor speaker. It isn't the programs fault. I love me some powerpoint as it is so much easier to make a point with animations than to just statically have bullshit. Powerpoint should NOT be used for text. Quite on the contrary Sean. I more than enjoy a good speaker. But these people just read off the slides, add a tiny bit here and there and open for questions. They RARELY add in extra comments or anything of substance. Plus most of the topics they are 'teaching' are things I have gone over and even had the pleasure of teaching before myself. J Then they ARE NOT good speakers. So you despise a poor speaker. Not sure how that was contrary, sounds like you just stated exactly what I did. Except you blamed the powerpoint I blame the person giving it. I blamed the PP beacuse they could do hands on as opposed to a shitty presentation Still the presenters issue, not the presentation software. Obviously sucks at speaking, preparing the presentation or both.

After how shitty my last 3 Bold's ended up I have no interest in that operating system at all.

Droid >>>>>>>> TP2 Try using a Droid in Europe...oh that's right you CAN'T. Curious why it is so much better in your opinion though.
  13. Then you get to choose, midbass or midrange. You are going to compromise. I think you can get your sub to play higher, not "recommending" it as you know mine is crossed over lower than that. Just trying to help you with all your goals and the easiest way is to run it higher. Since you don't want to, what would you rather give up?
  14. Hey Kent, you didn't read. Those specs do look fine for the 12" though. 1 cuft will definitely work which is about where it'd be with the driver in the box. Umm, lol, you didn't read. Those specs from SubThump are for a dual chamber, or triple chamber box, lol. Moriartti want a single sub setup, lol. Also, I didn't quote the SubThump specs, because I was just trying to give the OP the size he should be looking for. hehe And he might be going 12, if SubThump has a single sub pass thru location box in the right size. neeneerneeneerneeneer!!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Lol, 1.1cuft EACH it says. Which for a 12" is about perfect once you subtract the volume of the sub. Read again.

Quoted so I can read later. Babysitting right now
  16. Not really, it won't help on any of the frequencies of your door mounted driver. I disagree mainly because I've tried it, and it makes a difference. Most people might be intimidated by your SSA tech team and your 40,000 posts and just take your word for it. I think, however, that you are just against it because it's not the "proper" thing to do. Yea, there are better ways to get a better result, but this does have some effect and you can't deny that. Fine we can play that way, what effect did it have then? Don't answer loudness without responding to what frequencies either. It isn't about intimidation, just science and we'll get to the bottom of it
  17. Just FYI, you should probably realize that the Q is new so no one has any experience with it. I will add one general comment though that the IDMax has never impressed me, in particular at its price point.
  18. No one here is down on the Q. Just don't understand why some people gravitate towards it when all they want is loud. 99% of the people that ask about the Q here are completely misinformed and think that the music they listen to has notes down to 20Hz and that the real lows are what makes things loud. After getting details from them it is obvious there are much better choices in drivers than the Q for them. In application the Q is a great driver, out of application it is a waste of money as it could have been spent getting what the owner actually wanted instead. It's just that I've noticed as soon as someone mentions the word loud, you automatically discourage buying the Q. In reality, it can get damn loud. Most likely louder then what most people who are looking to upgrade to it have. I'm only saying this because I've been in that position before too. When I was looking for a new sub, I really liked the Q. I read all reviews about it and everything that was said sounded like what I wanted. But there were people telling me to get the BL instead because I asked how much louder it would be then what I had. In the end, I love my Q. I'm just saying, it seems like people here are just quick to dismiss it as an option for most people. And you may like your Q, but if you compared I'd bet you'd prefer the BL. You are exactly why we have to point that out. It isn't that the Q is loud, but 99% of people that look at the Q want the loudest possible and get confused by the lows. Best for them really isn't the Q. I've never heard a setup using Imprint that sounded better with it on...

Perhaps you don't want to glue, what happens if a fan pukes?

Hmm, just started negotiating with Verizon HTC Ozono, Touch Pro 2, and Samsung Saga are the only 3 non-crackberry smart phones that they have. Google Nexus One is supposed to be coming soon, and I am sure the Droid will follow. *I need GSM Motorola Milestone can be had elsewhere and activated, but that adds cost. Anything anyone would point out before I go and look at them?

    Bye, bye UoM.
  23. Couldn't find it, maybe you can inform me. Basically non existent. But it's better then nothing, especially with the minimal work it takes to do and nearly no cost since most people usually have a roll of duct tape at home. Not really, it won't help on any of the frequencies of your door mounted driver.
  24. If you want to set them correctly you'll use an oscilloscope.
