  1. Could you buy a headunit, front speakers, a sub, and an amplifier for your car for $500? Your ONLY option is to scour Craigslist and find someone who is letting a system go. I'd focus on a receiver and 2 speakers. I'd look for 2 speakers that you can use as fronts now, but maybe eventually use as rears (or at least resell for what you paid for them or close). A sub is not in your budget, nor is surround sound.

I could eat REAL chinese every day too
  4. Yelling doesn't help. Not all bass, move a lot of air and NO discussion of front stage is crazy. I know you said later, but then that isn't your goal. If you truly want to sound good then do the fronts first and spend way more money on them than your sub. Of course, if your definition of sound good is a lot of bass then carry on.

I could eat Mexican every day.
  6. Typical Ant, not interested in helping just in selling product. Recommending sludge for decreasing road noise is asinine.
  7. You couldn't use 50Hz on my system, I LP lower than that. To me that is midbass not sub-bass. Of course I could turn the filters off and use it, but dangerous recommendation as it can surely be in the crossover region.
  8. Yep, I'd bet close to 0.1cuft. Being off by 0.02cuft won't matter anyways.
  9. Hmm, only one page and you change your goals completely
  10. I think they do it on purpose, they all have a sign that says "No Accurate Cuts" you ask them what it means and they say within 1/2". Either way I prefer to cut all my own as I know they are right then.

We are still going to kick their ass.
  13. Most headunits have a correction for different inputs, if not then definitely play a test tone from your mp3 player to set your gain
  14. Exactly what Impious said. Don't bother and I would also HIGHLY recommend taking a peak at the CLD tiles from SDS.
  15. What does the $500 have to include? Receiver, speakers, sub, etc...
  16. a 16th is nothing, those idiots normally can't do a quarter

Holy crap Aaron, you guys STOLE Boldin. Not sure wtf the Vikes were thinking, getting him would definitely keep the cheeseman from retiring again. Letting Chester go to da bears is a bit sick too.
  18. Best cuts I've ever seen a Blowe's or Home Dipshit do.

Still havent had dinner last nite or breakfast this morning, way behind. QDOBA! Not a surprise to anyone on here, but I wouldn't eat that.
  21. It is, but recommending equipment without understanding the need of the user is absurd. Perfect, I asked for one song, you gave me an album. Either way. What instrument plays at 25Hz on that album? And since I asked for a song, which song is it on and where?

    Finally ate lunch

A big ass CO2 tank from a welding supply store. Okay, not big ass for them, but for me. It is in my basement although it "could" fit under the sink. Instead I ran copper tube up from downstairs to under the sink. To make 1.5L I use about $0.005 - 0.01 worth of CO2...or at least I estimate. $17 refill has lasted over a year already and still has a lot left. So does it work soda fountain style where it comes carbonated right out of the nozzle? No that takes a cold plate or a refridgerator to run the lines through. The water has to be very cold to do that. I didn't think it was worth the energy. I have to do it in bottles.
  24. ROFL. You are hilarious. Name ONE song that has 25Hz notes that YOU listen to. Really. I know why you can't. Since you designed your system to be perfect for SQ and "they are in there" you obviously listen to them. Share please. Since they are in EVERY genre, let's pick Rock or hell Jazz if you prefer. Something you use for SQ testing would be perfect.
