  1. The L7 won't be ridiculously terrible at 40Hz, if you tune it lower it will open other options. The box is a little small for the L7 though.

    I used to drive 70k a year, now I fly 150k which means I drive to the airport. The M doesn't see that duty. 1991 M5 91k 2002 Silver-shit-ado 125k

Spray with water and proceed to scrap. My brother just got rid of all the texture in his whole house. Huh? scrap = scrape? How much water? My vaults are going to suck.
  7. http://sounddeadenershowdown.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi Easy to find. If you need more details on how to use it, just add to the thread
  8. Probably a loose latch and everything that can touch rubbing. Get out and push on it and see if you can limit it. Then feel for anything loose on the inside. If you can't isolate it, I'd bet the mating surfaces rub too.
  9. Don't use Second skin, buy from Don at SDS. (link in my sig) Better bang for the buck, in particular when advice is included. Rattles are different than deadening. Deadening only takes panel resonances out. If you have rattles you have to find them first. Usually some CCF in between the surfaces that are rubbing will solve those issues. And yes, it is very possible deadener will reduce your score...although it might improve it, depends on a lot of factors. Using CCF to kill the rattles won't hurt your score at all though.

No texture >>> texture Walls shouldn't be textured. Hell ceilings shouldn't be textured. Half my house has ceiling texture and YES it will be coming down.
  11. External port ftw in your case. You really only need two anyways...once you have it dialed in. If you don't have her dialed, build a temp enclosure first and figure that out.
  12. bmw..... most bmws are more fun than most audis plus bmw reliability > audi reliability. (fact not opinon) for all of the newer models of BMWs and Audis, from the models that have been rated and tested, BMW comes out on top. Also, for used cars, some of Audi models made the worst of the worst list and there were a couple BMWs on the good/best list.... overall, if I was looking for a new or used car strictly for reliability, I would not choose either of these companies; however, I would be willing to risk it with the Bimmers because as long as you take care of them they will be fine. LEXUS RELIABILITY FTW BMW PERFORMANCE FTW .....but Audi has some badass new LED headlights you've never worked on a bmw have you? they're sexy, but mb, vw and bmw engineers have forks in their eyes. putting aside the maintenance, if you ever (god forbid) crash it, the parts are hellishly expensive and you're gonna have a fun time installing them.. or pay $150 an hour for a dealership to install them for you. toyota if i wanted reliability, performance..mustang. yeah i know..m-mustang. but there are so many aftermarket parts for them bitchiz. if i wanted performance and reliability i'd buy a skyline finish that box j! fiiinish it I've worked on a ton of them and have completely the opposite experience. Parts are cheap, they are SUPER logical and really EASY to work on. Reliability is rather amazing as well. Just make sure that you get a straight six car. The v nonsense effed up the company in many regards. MB & VW are in a pain in the ass class, BM'ers are the easiest cars to work on ever.
  13. Chris, come on. You know better. You can't design a box unless you know what the hell you have for drivers.
  14. Exactly. Just because your friends have been lucky it isn't an attack on you, but definitely on RD.

At your absurd 26Hz they are down 30dB from their peak which if that is where they measured their sensitivity means that they could be 54dB sensitive in that region. Going to take a hell of a lot of them to get loud at all. You could make a 500Hz fart cannon that way though, although there are better ways to do that. And they'd run out of excursion REALLY fast down there too. 65Hz Fs and recommended frequency range...not a sub.

Made by Logitech. Connects to your pc either via wireless or a hardwire cat5 cable. Allows you to control all your CD's, Pandora, Internet Radio, and everything else via a fancy remote or via their software. It has a digital output (or analog) to connect to your stereo. You can play Pandora 24/7 and not have a subscription. Basically it is the coolest piece of home audio equipment I own. I highly recommend one. Of course, I use mine via home automation software so I can have touchscreens with album art in any room that I want.

  21. That is the exception. Perhaps you should volunteer to be first in line to try their next mistake.
  22. I like the Admin one the best
  23. You should be tuning to 56 Hz then. No. But you shouldn't go by what your friend told you. Time to experiment.
