The 2011 Rush will have around 165hp and be 460lbs...and have a huge contact patch.

On a banked turn it pwns. A sled can really turn faster in snow? I know it will turn tighter at a decent clip but I never thought faster on the swoop de doops Something about 8" of triple carbide digging into the ice and a ski digging into the snow gives you absurd turning capability. On my track I have 144 ice picks digging into the ground along with the track. It'll spin on ice, but it still hooks hard. 20-75 is nutso.

Actually I am not a napper, but could nap at work. I do nap, but usually only in meetings. I CAN"T sit through lectures at all.

In STOCK the sled I just bought can do: 0-60 in under 5 seconds 110mph+ top speed 125HP at 470lbs capability to take 90deg turns with a 15' radius at 50+mph completely adjustable suspension (quickly) to deal with varying terrain Again, not saying 4 wheelers aren't fun but in comparison they are toys compared to machines Wow, was not aware of those kind of specs. So when I come up to Minny we can go hit some trails? K, thanks... The midrange is where the real fun is too. I have a bone stock, entry level performance sled. Smallest non-girl motor Poo makes.

My 954 CBR is obviously faster by a large gap, but when the road stops being flat she's pretty much worthless. Interesting. Maybe I will have to find a cheeper, noobtastic sled. I would have to trailor it everytime I wanted to go out though, and that would blow. Not on ice Not in the turns either, and that is where the fun is. I'd like to see you jump the CBR too.

    Time for da lunch
  9. I want active because of passengers but i want the best soundstage for passive (for myself) in my budget ! Huh? How do you plan on doing both? (Best soundstage will be active IF you can get it tuned in right)
  10. 12" DP, is that 6" x2? *couldn't help it* Low frequency capability has nothing to do with woofer size. Both drivers will require that you adjust their box for your vehicle, so neither is a win in that regard.

Well theres your problem, you need to go ride the back country!!! Don't forget your beacon. Our backcountry and yours is a bit different and require a completely different type of sled. I love both, but prefer tight winding trails through the trees with many bars along the way. Ya you probly don't know what your missing? No, I've done a little boondocking, nowhere near enough but I prefer the requirement to turn tight and see what you can do. The varying terrain as well. That and I am very partial to forests in the first place and running through many different ones all on the same day is a hoot. I wasn't saying that I didn't like pounding through feet of powder, just that I prefer trails through the woods.
  13. Any alignment can do both, just requires that you choose the size and box parameters to match your goals. Of course you will need a driver that is appropriate for the box, but that should go without saying.
  14. Not sure of your goals, but would assume loud it is. In that case, I'd question using the AQ drivers and lean another way. That and realize that the first shot on a wall is no guarantee. Neither of course is first shot on a box. The advantage of a box is that it is easy to build many or alter it to maximize output for the power that you have.
  15. Lol, it isn't that simple as it is frequency dependent. Obviously you can make a generalization of 1/4wavelength or 1/2 wavelength as a rule of thumb, but that isn't 100% the case.
  16. He used maybe so as not to call his definition something that is 100% complete. Not as in what he said wasn't right. That is my guess anyways as I know Brad understands beaming. Basically as the wavelength of the sound you are playing gets smaller in relation to the cone diameter you have the opportunity for the sound wave to have both constructive and destructive interference. This creates a non-uniform dispersion pattern as in some directions at some frequencies the sound is added to (constructive inteference) and at some it is reduced (destructive) and of course this changes with frequency. Without understanding wave equations and acoustic propagation beaming isn't ever going to be straightforward. What you need to realize is that the higher in frequency you want to play the smaller diameter of driver is required to do it with even spherical sound distribution. *obviously completely even never exists, but as a generalization I think you can understand what I am saying.
  17. It isn't about the brand but the application. Regularly following the secondskin cover everything up method will result in lower scores.

Way more power, more traction, higher top speed, better handling, better suspension, better acceleration, better center of gravity, softer landing (snow), and the list goes on. Basically 4 wheelers are super boring in comparison. Not taking away from 4 wheelin', but snowmobiles>>>>>4wheelers
  20. Currently the problem is definitely that you have the wrong box for the Type R's. They need more space and so will other solutions. The real question is does he want more bass or more space, he is going to have to pick 1.

I give shit like that, definitely don't take it. If you want to send your snow to MN please do. The trails are walloped and could definitely use another 10"
  23. Definitely a waste of money. In particular if your goals are loud. It is a bit of a science on what to do, but at the same time can be approximated rather easily. Covering more than 25% of the metal isn't going to help with further resonances. And remember for your application don't assume that all resonances are bad.

Do you even have trouble in low fi? I actually never use SSA or HAF in anything but low fi. It cripples my speed. We just got a huge upgrade to our internet too. I like the HiFi for all other pages which load instantly. It definitely is NOT my internet connection.
