which setup is better?
You barely have space for 2 15's, but considering your budget that makes the most sense anyways. I'd personally buy a used amp if that's all you have to spend.

Welcome to the IHoP
There is no reason be like everyone else. If you want to be better or be the best, you have to rise above the crowd, even if it means following simple "stupid" rules. right on i feel u . people just need to watch it with me im a hot head lol... Err, dipshit perhaps. Wtf kind of comment is that? Arguing about how we do things here will only get you a permanent gtfo. Everytime you post it seems to be to refute what is required here. I'll put this VERY SIMPLY. The next time you at all complain about the rules here you will be gone for two weeks. If I think the complaint is extreme it will be a month. At the end of either term the only way that you will be re-allowed on the site is if you send me a very apologetic PM that shows you understand why your current perspective on this is jacked.

Large composite structures can have really high resonances. Also it depends on how many modes you are interested in. I did a measurement on a 3' piece of 4" PVC and the 37th mode was already at 9kHz. Obviously going to a smaller diameter or to a shorter length will raise those frequencies. The first bending mode IIRC was at 415Hz of that tube.

Looking for a SQ sub
A dog farting into a megaphone sounds better than an L7 in a ported box. That is an absolutely awful awful awful enclosure choice for that woofer. Seal it or don't bother, and make it a big sealed box. Try this to test SQ. Cover up the port. I bet it sounds 100x better. I disagree completely. I have heard ported L7's that sound just fine, but it is obviously very box & goal dependent.

What kind of $$$ are you looking to get out of it? Current plans are to use it for an office stereo, but I'd rather have the Integra since I can automate it. Not sure what its worth. How about something fair, but less than what you would pay for it from someone else?

Why is there no "view new messages from last visit" ?
There is a View New Content button in the upper right hand corner. It will show you what is new. Right below the little search text entry spot

Looking for a SQ sub
You NEED to share what you don't like otherwise you will end up just wasting money. Buying a new sub may not be the solution.

Welcome to the IHoP
What kind of structure would have a resonance at that high a frequency? Small ones. We regularly work on nano-tubes which have interesting modes well into the >20MHz range. Obviously the structures we will excite acoustically are larger than those What kind of work do you do again? I am in an into to nanoscience class right now. I see the word nano and get excited. We do measurements of structural dynamics in structures. From things as large as the space station to NEMS devices.

If it is a big outburst it'll be at least a month.

If this attitude continues his vacation will be WAY longer than a day And will require a nicely written note to come back. That sort of blatant disrespect is not acceptable.

which sub need your input plzzzzzzzz
Rattlebox, the next time you post on this thread it better be to make this thread fit within the guidelines of the forum. And don't add any attitude to it either. Again you have been told twice by other people in this thread the right way to get help, but again argued and aren't following the guidelines or the forum. You already know what happens when you argue a third time. If you have forgotten, you can read the three threads in my sig.

which setup is better?
What is your budget, the biggest box you can fit, and what equipment do you already ahve?

Alpine IVA-w200 vs W205 vs D105 vs D106 to work with PXA-H701
Control and control are two different things. The 9887 will let you select pre-sets, but you really "need" the RUX to do major changes. Pretty much the same with all the h/u based systems, meaning your only real choice should be a screen or using the controller. As for the optical out, I haven't used one on the Alpine but in general having nothing extra to add to the noise floor is a bonus IMO.

I don't mean to be critical, but that one picture, wow that is a rinky coil. Yes, I know every driver has a different purpose and design yadda yadda, but umm how about dialing in some DAF? And a major dipshit breaking it.

Welcome to the IHoP
Someone PM'd me a question about this since he had a give away here, hopefully it is okay that I state this to clarify. This was the raffle for the Ultra sub which was IMO was rigged without stating so. The giveaway here was rigged, but in the open. That I respect, the sub thing not so much.

Looking for a SQ sub
You are using a definition of SQ that makes no sense, the new member guideline threads in my sig will help with that. What don't you like about your L7's? Once we know that we can help.

fiq vs fi ssd on same power
$30 is nominal And even on 1w the BL will be louder than the Q on 1w...significantly. The BL's are your choice.

Oh shit. Been so long since I've been on DIYMA. Finally saw the anti-Rudy filter. They made me state where I am from and whether or not I am in the 12v industry.
