I am sure they will be ridiculous, but I had to ask.

Having some lease payments run on this guy: http://cars.adperfect.com/flashads.tracking.php?Action=CAR&Link=323479556&Partner=&OkToTrack=true&TrackingID=200911120912277376538b2038b7&Ad=267019060ebf81EB27owS164846E

Ha, I'll be in Germany in less than 48 hours. Won't get a boot, but will get real German beer.

    DAS BOOT
  5. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
    wtf is right.
  6. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
<--didn't read enough to realize it was only pre-2005. Does make sense that the Germans would eventually fix it, just definitely not in the first couple years.

And why the hell can't i find a V10 Toureg to drive locally. Aaargh.

The bigger problem is that the charger they chose isn't reliable here. I have seen a few spit them which scared me into only wanting certified. Modern Merc and reliability aren't exactly something that goes hand in hand. Too much electronic nonsense. Can't I get that engine with a single cpu and just some electric goodies on the inside that aren't controlled by a central processor?

20k is ridiculous, but I'd definitely rather have a NA Merc than a charged one

Stupid pressure gauge and valve is what hurts to buy, that and the $50 deposit on the tank.
  11. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
Ultra easy. Just need a C02 tank and some air hose fittings. About $200 in materials though, but in my case that is less than 6 months worth of water and the tank should last for a good 4 years. Refills are only $17 so it is just an initial investment.
  12. 5.5" total? If so, you "get" to use slim drivers only and even then you are going to be seriously cramped and BASS isn't something you'll really get. Bass perhaps, but don't expect miracles if you have no space.
  13. That isn't a midbass. Subs shouldn't play to 100hz. You don't need an enclosure for your midrange, IB would be best.
  14. Big difference between the two. First question though is why a bandpass?
  15. Considering you started out with the idea of lots of tweeters and multiple drivers, we really need to know what you are willing to do for work, what your goals are, listening preferences and so on. No recommendations should occur before then on specific products.

You can buy it already carbonated, but I hate buying water and carrying it back from the grocery store so I built my own carbonator.
  17. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
Carbonated water ftw! Que? Details please. You want the after taste gone? Carbonated water will solve your issue.

Slept in my own bed, holy fucking refreshing!!
  19. u seem to tell me that all the time when i'm not just reading it.. i've been told this from actual human beings.... I've also read this from multiple review sites.. The best research is to obtain info from multiple sources.. or at least that's what i've learned in college long ago. When a common denominator is found, it's usually the right one. I only tell you as you seem to do and not think regularly. Definitely agree on the multiple sites, but you NEED to know how to decipher crap info from real info. When you do you will obviously find that the Pio Kuro's are always rated as unbelievably gorgeous followed not far behind by the Panny's. Burn-in doesn't really occur these days and almost requires that you try to make it happen.
  20. A well treated door will be better than a Q logic. Hard to give advice currently not understanding what you are willing to go through for the install.
  21. YES! The real question then is what size. There are some budget 4"ers that IMO are better than the L4 as well, but if you aren't needing a 4 that is not worthwhile info to post here. So I have been looking around some more. How do you feel about the Usher 8137A 8", Vifa NE123W-04 4" or Tang Band W4-1720 4", and the Dayton RS28A-4 1 1/8". The prices are much lower than I expected just wondering how you think these would sound or if anyone has any experience with these. Thanks. Those wouldn't be a good match together. Considering this has derailed a bit, before thinking about drivers I'd like an update on processing, mounting locations and such.
