I'd probably sell you my LPG's if you go that route. If you could find the Alpine/vifa xt19 it is pretty damn nice off axis as well

And of course that choice will greatly effect your tweeter budget

Perhaps also your desires. In a 2 way you get to choose normally between optimized for midrange or midbass.

You should really let people know that a 7 fits easy and the tweets are really off axis and no where near symetric

Love it myself, nothing makes you more regular than a french press

I would expect that most people would think you have tweeters.
  13. Other than turning it down there is no generic answer but with some more info on what you have, how it is installed, what kind of car, some pics/vids etc. it gets easier to help.

To catch a ball requires that you have someone throwing it to you. In Minny we know all about losing with a junk quarterback.
  15. Did you read the first post in this thread before answering then? He specifically asked about bullet tweeters and your response sounded like a rave review. *I realize you added soft dome, but I doubt the OP understand the ramifications of that addition
  16. And the factory foam is pretty useless from the get go. If you want it gone you will have to do more than just slap something near it.

The biggest drama queen in the NFL bought a house really close to Vikes headquarters....but he's retired.
  18. 4 gauge for sub wires? That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of.
  19. It takes more knowledge to integrate a passive radiator as you have to compute the mass of the radiator for tuning. Very comparable to a ported enclosure but without port noise and a slightly steeper roll off. Considering in a car port noise is generally not an issue the only advantage it buys you is that you don't need a long ass port.
  20. I've warned him before or if not was about to and noticed someone else did. Personally I'd make his vacation permanent but considering it is 7 days the first time he acts like a tool again on return it is easy to make a decision.
  21. It is NOT acoustically dead. Tap on your box once and listen to it resonate and realize how ridiculous a statement that was. To the OP however, it really depends on your goals. There are plenty of useful absorbers that can be used in a box but without understanding your reasoning or knowing what exactly your box is it is dubious to even answer. If I could guess by assuming your goals I'd say you don't need it.
  22. Rattles aren't helped by deadener, tightening the hinges and putting something like a foam of sorts between the rattling surfaces can though.
  23. Amusingly I have the opposite take. If you want to get loud sure they will do that, but they require a ton of eq and generally aren't so good sounding. Again though if loud is your goal they could fill it.
  24. Use a smaller gauge, 8 is way overkill

I was being facetious I know your not that dumb
