Box to maximize ouput for 2 Fi Qs
Note, I'd actually wager that a BTL would have more than enough of a smooth response that 85% of the people who ask BL or Q would really be happiest with the BTL and are looking for its output. I can simplify it. If you want your bass loud, you do not want a sound quality driver. If you sat in my truck you'd wonder if I had subs and surely couldn't tell where it was located. It sounds 100% like all my music is coming from the front of my truck including the bass. Hell, I'd take it a step further. If you have a newish car and listen to your stock stereo and turn the bass knob up, you aren't an SQ buyer. Nearly all new cars have a huge bias on the bass to sound big and IMO it sounds like shit. Here is one other clue. The gain on my sub amp is basically off. I have a 1000w amp sure, but I severely doubt that it ever actually plays more than 200w and that is when I am listening to music that I don't listen to. Sounds friggin' great though. Don't underestimate your desire to get loud and your goals...

Drip with a real grinder >> french press with a shitty grinder. Just like for audio being all in the install, the coffee is all in the grinder. Has to be ground within an hour at most of when you want to use it too. I always laugh when I go into my local coffee roaster and get a batch of beans that was just roasted today and they ask me if I want it ground. My usual answer is, "no thanks, that defeats the purpose"...so yes, I am an ass in real life too.

Most people do, once you really start enjoying extractions though drip is no longer exciting. I can still handle a French press though

Box to maximize ouput for 2 Fi Qs
It's all box dependent. Build on the larger side and tune a tad lower. Thanks ///M5 on the comments. I did some research on the Qs & Bls but got the whole "lows" concept miscontrued. I should have gone with the BL but thats life. Atleast when i get them I can compare them for others. I have them in a 8cuft box at 32hz. If i swapped out the Qs for the BLs would it hit the lows better than in a smaller box? I would think the lows in a bigger box were better. Huge misconception nearly all the noobs on any car audio forum make. They think they want SQ because it has the word Quality in it. We all understand that you weren't looking for something that sounded like a turd or crappy otherwise you wouldn't have been on the website in the first place. Exactly why I always harp on people to not use terminology and instead describe what you want. Amazing how clear your goals can be if you don't describe them with Low, SPL, SQ and so on. At least all the Fi drivers have great used resale.

You are going to make it loud with some SQ right? rofl Finally installing the amp I got from you, although that driver isn't quite here yet.

Speaking of coffee, there are some people in school that have a cup of coffee with them all the time. Every fricking time I see them during breaks they're holding a cup of coffee. wtf ? *note, when I say coffee I do not mean some drip shit you can carry around. If coffee isn't extracted it isn't coffee. I bet those puckers dress like idiots too.

More than plenty for what you listen to. If you listened to classical music I'd shy away, but I don't think that is your goal.

Question about component speakers
You are right in that they will sound different in your doors, they should actually sound better. The voicing on the tweeter will be similar though so it is still very valid to go and listen. I wouldn't say that Raamat "tends to be cheaper" it just isn't marked up as much. More than effective enough for what you need. And remember it is your ears and not ours, you are on the right path

There were boats on the lake yesterday already moored up, the main lake is still frozen If our dock were in, I would have gone crappie fishing this morning. No shots this morning.....yet. Just a smoothie Pear, Blueberry, Banana, Strawberry, Peach and a little yogurt. The Vitamix rocks!

And those songs are rarities as you say, and I most definitely agree with your last statement. Buying the Q's to "hit" the lows is a joke. Anyone who uses the word hit isn't truly interested in lows and the BL's would do more than they need and do a better job of it than the Q.

That would be the bomb for a boat Makes me want to sell the bass boat for a cruiser. Except I don't really need another excuse to get drunk on the lake

But considering we are having up to 30 over for Easter and the house is in wrecked form right now, I get to do other "work" As soon as I stop procrastinating the fresh sheetrock in the bathroom gets primed. The hummingbirds are gone

I am afraid on my sis's boat that they will run out of battery, lose their settings, or generally just screw it up if it were active. Those RS components look nice enough to be run active on their own though. The crossovers actually have somewhat decent components in them though so it should be alright.
