  1. No, it made no sense....I forgot you gave your sub away. All 880
  2. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
    <--Jerk
  3. Since your tweeters and mids will be on the same baffle I'd have them share a channel on the 880 and use the amplifiers crossovers to LP the Peerless 3" and HP the tweeter. This way you can bandpass the midbass with the 880, HP the mid/tweet and still be able to use your t/a to correct for the PLD.
  4. Midbass HAS to be IB, it will be really be cramped otherwise. The combination would be stellar.
  5. Fairly big hole if you go that route. IB cannot be too big Free air is a misnomer as to me it would mean no baffle which is useless in application.
  6. Perhaps if you renamed deadening to killing panel mode resonances the application would be easier to envision.

heh, they meet my needs I forgot you have matching ones. Do you need any parts?

I thought about slate as well, also black quartz but any sort of pattern sort of clashes with the granite. Travertine would have less patterns, but I also want to make it easy to clean meaning clean cuts, small grout lines, and no pores to collect crap. Slate! Thank you for the tip. When I got into this I didn't really think about the fact I would talk to one place for the stone and another for the fabrication. I found out that cold springs has a few showrooms around here. Maple Grove and eagan. I might email and see if they have the full selection. It looks like they don't cut or install, but a place a few miles north of us works close with them. Also keeps one style that looks like it might be nice in person at a discount in stock. I'd love slate, but it may be too dark and not smooth enough. My bathroom is getting done in 100% slate including the wall. Pics when I get further along.
  9. You can run them sealed, but they only require a very small box. Of course, you can also use the fact they don't need much space to get them into an IB situation easily. I would assume that the Thunderbird fenders might be big and leaky enough to make that happen.

    Aargh!!!
  11. You specifically said to spend it on speakers and not deadener and I 100% disagree
  12. DON'T buy that amp and don't buy those speakers without listening to them. They are nothing special and really overpriced, on the used market well fine. Perhaps with your amazing experience you should "shut the eff up". Considering you have no deadener and then you propose that it does nothing? Nice. I'd guarantee my stock piece of chit GM truck speakers in my fully deadened doors running sounded better than your Type S's. I am sure I had more midbass and probably better clarity across the board. Do remember that in this game installation is 90% and equipment 10%. To the OP, I would go back and ignore pretty much everything that F-150 added to your thread. Sorry. So to answer your question, I'd spend the money on used speakers, a used amplifier, and some deadener. Focus more on the installation and less on the equipment. Don't buy a chit amp though. Dude seriously? I can have my own opinion, opinions are pretty much what this forum relies on. In my opinion the type s's are great speakers hands down. I love them, its an opinon. I dont think its very nice to tell someone else to "shut the eff up" seriously i'm giving him advice about what i have expereinced. Its my opinion not yours, Thank you. Simons 81 i would go with the alpine speakers, 80 dollars is a good price, jsut make sure the seller is legitimate. Perhaps you are local and you can listen to them, what is your location? Seriously yes. Your opinion is based on a real small sample set and that is NOT what this forum relies on. The whole "I have this and it rocks" attitude really sucks. Spend some time listening to other things and gather an opinion based on multiple choices and then go ahead and share it otherwise all you are doing is tooting your own horn for what you bought. It is actually posts like yours that ruin the validity of a forum and help promote useless boners based on misinformation. To make things even worse you said not to deaden, but yet you haven't done it yourself. How is that a valid opinion? Your advice in this thread is useless to the OP and to the forum.

They are huge too, not sure if it will save you money but worth a shot. Cold Spring is really small and their market has to be well beyond St. Cloud. Just to appease the Penguin on what my family is involved in, I will let you know that my wives grandparents live in Cold Spring.

So far? It is less than 100mi's away. They'll drive it up.
  20. The purpose of deadening is not to increase your score, it may even hurt it. Panel resonances can add to your score if your vehicle happens to be tuned right.

Definitely. Speckled granite just makes your kitchen look like one gigantic bass boat... Some of us like Gigantic Bass Boats Not that I want my countertops to be silver metal flake

Not so sure I'd go that extreme in a kitchen, bathroom sure but that is a hell of a lot of stuff going on for a kitchen.
  25. The NS3 is definitely Neo, but out of stock and the last time I visited Aura I was told they probably won't be bringing them back.
