  1. Where are you mounting drivers? Curious why you are so deadset on a 3 way as well. You would have an awful lot of audio gains if you went 2 way active first.
  2. Back on topic: Where are the mids going? That I understand...but not their implementation. The vehicle screams for an on axis setup for most of the audio range (exact reason you currently have the sound bar), but FCA's installation of it was horseshit. Just peak at the off axis response of any ~3" midrange and you will see why. Completely confusing how they could get part of the equation so right and part of it so wrong. Other problem is that in that truck it is hard to treat the doors well enough for an 8" midbass which takes away fro the whole full ranger options.
  3. Again you thread dump. STOP. Read your first post above. To the OP this sounds like you are recommending time alignment that is "good enough" ie, great, for two people at the same time. I clarify and you get your panties in a bundle and have to argue. Read your argument, then read how you try to completely change your tune two posts later by saying you did NOT time alignment for both but something completely different ie some random spot in between the two. Even worse when that random spot between the two is shit for both. In a car you can't eq for one side evenly, implying you time aligning it is learning challenged beyond belief. EVERY time you post in a thread you are all over the board implying different things and the people who made these threads don't always realize your audio understanding is beyond confused. They may take your implied reality of what you hope your car is as fact. I am done warning you. React like a little bitch again when you imply some nonsense and someone corrects you and you will no longer be a part of this forum. You have had way more warnings than other people we've let go. We have let this happen because you do it out of ignorance instead of intent. The initial statement isn't the problem, but your incapability of opening your mind to criticism and how you respond after. Three different mods have addressed this privately with you. Now here it is publicly. SS - sorry this is in your thread. We can surely move the off topic to the dumping thread, but being part of it is almost on topic we can move it later or at your request.
  4. Don't tune so low. Past the range of diminishing returns.
  5. Doing a 3 way active as your first step isn't something I would recommend. 6.5" midbass won't be much of a midbass. If you are in the mode of a 3 way...I'd try like hell to fit something bigger. As for the rears, those locations are useless. Don't use them.
  6. Que? Small box, low tuning = long port. The rest of your question is really hard to read...
  7. Thanks for the nice write up, that helps a ton. One thing to clarify. Midbass drivers are part of the front stage. Of course this also means it makes basically zero sense to use a 6.5" midrange when you have a midbass driver. Something MUCH smaller will GREATLY improve how things sound. A few questions to get us going: 1) Have you had an active setup before 2) How big of a driver can you fit for a midbass 3) Where are the speaker mounting locations 4) What is the plan for the 3 way crossover. The 6XS really cannot be used for this...
  8. Perfect. Then when you get those nailed as good as they get, complain about what you don't like and we can either help you select temporary replacements or fix the tune further
  9. Yes. You CANNOT time align for two seats at the same time. Not even close. Rudimentary Physics...
  10. Beware of one thing. On axis and tweeter is usually not desired. Location can stay, but I'd play with aiming. As we clarified before, that doesn't work. Not even close. I am sure your "driver" and "passenger" settings were better for the other person than if you didn't change them, but it was far from optimized and your "close enough" is miles away for most of us.
  11. No subscription needed. Can buy updates though
  12. You will be surprised how much active filters can help any driver. If the jbl's are in just try them first.
  13. Personally I would start with what you have and then see if you need to change.
  14. Need one big sock
  15. Not really, both turned into marketing terms. I researched like hell and was willing to spend, but instead just bought Penny's high end whatever the hell and they destroyed the other super high count or Egyptian spendy ones I have. Mileage will vary, but expect all specs to be nonsense
  16. Fplanning the outdoor remodel in my head after the better part of a 12pk
  17. I feel like I am feeding an old hay burning steam traction engine Ha ha. Spell check changed hay into gay
  18. Sweet. I am outside heating the earth and burning 15 years worth of bills and receipts.
  19. 10" drop chest to waist here. Shoulders 1.5" bigger than my chest. I just want a pimpin sport coat to wear with jeans
  20. That is really reasonable. So you have a salesman you like.
  21. It was awful. I was looking for Jean shoes though so the styles I wanted stopped at 13
  22. They were serious dipshits. Of course I went to the Edina store. From the experience, no way I would do business with them. Even worse they flat out told me they couldn't.
  23. An LS with a TVS on it.
  24. ///M5 replied to nem's topic in Team SSA
Small world. Helped my buddy build a protouring 69 Bird a few years back. Was FUN!
  25. Where did you get the suit? Curious how you liked the process. I need some casual shirts made. Sick of shit that doesn't fit and they don't have shit for fabric in Asia that I'd use. Also want a casual sport coat made. Same problem. Might just send fabric to Singapore, but that is a lot of dicking around...
