Anyone have experience with the RL-p 18" ?
It is a great woofer. We have been over this before. You should NOT use terms like SQ or SPL and you definitely don't understand distortion. I'd guarantee on a sub that you wouldn't hear 10% so I am not sure why you'd care. What's that supposed to mean ? i have a good ear... i just prefer pure loudness, than strictly low-volume quality. i am a musician, i play like, 4 instruments, you have to have a good ear for that, at least. Simple. You don't understand the terms and you won't hear distortion on a sub. Your original question is really strange, in particular when you finally told us what your friend is looking for. The Rlp 18 can get loud, don't let people on here scare you but really knowing exactly what your buddy wants is very important here.

Is nothing like this: Anyone got Kurt Warner in your league? Carson was my QB but Warner has been solid for me Solid?? He is the highest scoring QB in the league so far this year in our scoring system. (avg pts per week not total). The first available QB is 27th and is Tyler Thigpen.

Need advice...is this FAIR?
Did you already fix it? I'd give him the option to make it all right before doing anything.

Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1
Regulated is the way to go if you have one of those oddball 3 ohm subs.

Noob needs SQ suggestion from the pros
Some Bose headunits have a nearly flat output so you don't even need a cleansweep, but only some processing. Knowing exactly what you have is extremely critical here. As stated some have amps in weird places and all sorts of other crap. Until knowing what you have it is impossible to talk integration.

component speakers
Not enough budget for a 3 way. In that price range, the Pioneer PRS set is nice

Break-in?
? If there is no mechanical noise or issues as you turn them up slowly, ie if everything is installed right and kosher, there is NO need to "break the woofers in". The parameters will change over time but you do not need to treat them differently.

Pre-season rankings: Carson -- Top 3 Larry J -- Top 5 Chad J -- Top 8 Braylon -- Top 8 JT's a joke, but he backs up my top 3 QB

Wow, fantasy football is FUCKING me this year. Let's see. Carson Palmer -- out maybe for the year Chad Johnson -- Ocho Stinko sucks pretty bad right now Larry Johnson -- may not play for the foreseeable future Braylon Edwards -- got a case of the dropsies JT O'Sullivan -- ya, he sucks but he was my backup I can't buy a damn break

Should I do it, or will it be to much?
what do you mean, not meant to be series/paralled together? Nothing to do with wiring. It just isn't logical to use lots of not so loud components together when you could pick something that was actually loud in the first place.

General Tuning Question
Depends on his goals, <34 will not be the loudest but until we know what he is looking for we can't make that recommendation. One thing is for sure, 50hz is retarded. In what I would personally call a good setup the sub will be crossed over at less than 50hz.

Tons of drivers that are made to be run only a pair at a time is not the way to get louder. More isn't always better.

Fi BL or BTL?
Depends on your definition and the box.
