Welcome to the IHoP
That is incorrect. Teamssaudio consists of more then 3 people. who are the other people? never seen or heard of them. just looked at the team section on ssa, and it states "coming sooon" Team SSA (Dave,Ramos and I) made people at the shows recognize ssa as a true force to be reckoned with in sound quality. don't believe me, ask tom shaw(former world champ),randy eddy(won elite top 30, but lost to dave in meca) if they know who team ssa is and i guarantee you that dave, ramos and i will be mentioned and the list goes on of competitors that are impressed with our cars and sportsmanship. Dave, ramos and I will be at Meca World finals. Any of you guys from ssa or "team ssa" are welcome to come by and get a demo. Webster, that is awesome that you guys have done well in MECA SQ. The thing is that we had not heard one single person come to the website, shop, or Icon support page and say they saw the Icon at a MECA SQ show. And in reality, very few people have heard of Tom Shaw or Randy Eddy, even though they are very good at what they do and have accomplished a great deal. So when mentioned in small world of MECA SQ, yeah you guys are going to come up and people will know those guys, but in the big picture, it is quite the opposite. I know that you guys gave out a ton of stickers and brochures to people that came and heard the cars, and that is very cool. But the effects of that were not seen on our end. So the relative perspective has to be considered, especially when we are solely internet based and run. Next, there are other associations and competitions outside of MECA SQ. We had a number of people compete early on in the season(s), (a few blazers one of whom is still active today, Aerostar van who is also still active, 2 door Tahoe, and a few others in the area of Phoenix some doing car shows too, but most important and notable of all, is the other owner of SSA, Mark did a number of shows and competitions. Mark had to stop doing competitions because we could not afford the constant expense of them. People have no idea how many hours he and I put in every week, and still make $0 from our efforts. So once again, we are grateful for the exposure and time you guys put in, but we are such a small company and in no way can we keep up with larger more established companies when it comes to funding/sponsoring, and we went above what most companies do anyway, that is a cold hard fact. But I am done talking about this since the "team" was "disbanded" anyway. We have to focus our money and energy on things that will keep the line going and at some point put money in our pockets. End of story. Aaron, if my .02 is not wanted here feel free to delete or edit my post. While I cannot and will not speak of webster, ramos, or dave in any negative light; I can only speak highly of Mark. The shows I was able to attend mark was there. Pushing the hell out of SSA. Schmoozing everyone he could about how good SSA is, and YET never talking down to anyone about what equipment they used, or how they were set up. I understand the fanancial aspect of him no longer going to shows, but I will tell you, he put one hell of a face on SSA, and I know the next time I get a chance to build a system, (whenever that may be) I will not hesitate to go for SSA. J I do not have anything to add...at this time at least I missed what you added the first time and would like to know what happened. I have A TON of respect for all sides even though all I know is something didn't go smoothly.

Low Pass Setting for FI Q10?
Depends on your goals. Your ears will tell you best. My preference would be to have it play below 40hz, but yours might be 200.

1000D and 2 RF 15" P3's
I wouldn't consider the P3's as anywhere near as good as he can get for the money.

10" midbass in my kicks????
If you can, I'd either put the mids in the dash or in the kicks. Depends a bit on the car though, but I can't say that the door is anywhere near my favorite location.

Welcome to the IHoP
Always believe recruiters. NOT I knew they were bullshittin me when they said that I'm a "big guy". I'm only slightly above average if you can believe the statistics for human height in America i know people think i'm huge. when i walk up, things typically settle down, and i'm not a big guy. though i get told that a lot. sean can verify the overall big guy thing, he has me by about 5" or so. and i don't think i look mean at all...... really. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I've got you by 5" but you are more imposing.

- Welcome to the IHoP
Didn't mean to imply I was leaving, just that I want to be more adamant about insuring the future of my home.- Welcome to the IHoP
LOL, not describing me but my frustration. Two choices. Deal with the bullshit threads with more authority, or I leave. I am not going to let this forum go the way of DIYMA and be a part of it. More traffic is great, but it needs direction otherwise it really is far from great. Of course if that is the goal of the forum, I will gladly step away and let it happen. Okay, not at all gladly, but if it must be it must be.- messing with "the pros"
This thread never should have been posted. *locked- JL Audio W1V2 or Kicker CVR10
At this point you are frustrating me. This forum is NOT for stupid this or that with no explanation questions. If you want to continue this behavior, do it somewhere else. Either describe your goals or don't ask the question. I apologize if I am making you the scapegoat, I am seeing more and more of this on this site and it thoroughly frustrates me. It is not at all meant for you to take it personally, but change the behavior now. If you need clarification the bottom line is you didn't ask a question. Neither is better. Each has some strengths that are stronger than the other and there is not one superior than the other for all applications. If you won't describe your application and continue to post I will lock your threads. If you are just going to buy the JL's "because" then don't ask, just do it, but don't get mad at us when you realize you just wasted your money.- 10" midbass in my kicks????
Lots of other options, mounting locations and aiming?- GOOD FRIGGIN' NEWS!!!!!
I am actually wondering if your manhood is that small that you need to show off that bad. All of your threads have one thing in common and that is they are always for you to compensate for something. Why do you feel the need to show off? If you want loud bass then by all means build a system that is SUPER FUCKING LOUD, but if this is just to inflate your penis perhaps you should re-evaluate your desires.- L7 and 18" BTL mix.
And you determined there was no cancellation and this setup was beneficial how? because, i tried the the solutions ppl said would take the cancellation away, but it only made things quieter, i tried only runnin one sub, got quieter, and i tried isobaric, no sound at all with that Amusing that you discredit your own opinion seconds later in the same thread. "that was one of my first systems when I didn't know a lot" Indeed it actually sounded like arse. the woofers have to be out of phase for isobaric to work.... otherwise you get no sound... isobaric isn't intended to increase output.... Isobaric would never work properly with two different woofers.... it's never a good idea to mix subwoofers... of course the woofers will play and if your adding more woofers(more surface area) on the same power-pending the ohm load- it'll get louder... doesn't mean it's a good thing.. doesn't mean it bad I suppose.. I just know I'd rather pop my trunk and see 2 of the same woofers instead of 12 different boxes with every woofer I could pull out of the closet... for reference.. I went to a show where a kid had 12 12's in his ford ltd.. he had 6 different amps, 8 different boxes and 8 different kinds of woofers... he did a whopping 138.8db... at that show I ran 2 cerwin vega hed 8's (off 3k) and did a 146.3... so who needs 12 miscellaneous 12's anyway? (*I ran the 8's to mess with my buddy running 2 15's he was only doing 47's with his 2 15's and 3k) Use your best woofer, build a good box and enjoy, sell off all the miscellaneous stuff... isnt just switchin the pos and neg wires to one of the subs wirin it out of phase.. thats wat i did and there was no sound.. but that was one of my first systems when i didnt know alot, now i run a single fifteen, and sometimes one 8" in a really good box i dont mix woofer brand either,, it does look dumb If you are asking about an isobaric setup, no.- Welcome to the IHoP
