simple newb question
For each signal you want to amplify you need one channel or another way of putting this is for every different speaker that plays something different you need one channel. Your left plays different than your right, each require their own channel. Your sub plays different than your fronts and needs its own channel. It sounds to me like you are trying to buy something with this information, giving your current background I would be MUCH more specific. Even though you don't like our answers when you are specific, the information you get by being general will NOT help you select the right equipment.

And neither are worth their purchasing price.

Ugliest car I think I have ever seen. TERRIBLE. Not saying you shouldn't do the doors, Lincoln's deserve suicides. And yes, yours looks WAY, WAY better.

GOOD FRIGGIN' NEWS!!!!!
Denim's advice is spot on. I pretty much guarantee that if you buy what you had planned in the original post that someone could take a 500w amp and a 10" sub and build a box in your car and be louder. Rather easily in fact. You don't have the budget or the space to do what you proposed.

10" Fi SSD vs Mach5Audio IXL-10.2.2
Why would you care what we'd choose? I guarantee that your listening preferences and mine aren't anywhere at all alike. The real question is what are your expectations? Without those no one can recommend a sub for you.

10" midbass in my kicks????
I didn't mean to poo poo the 10, I'd love to have a 10" midbass myself. As for your question, I'd guess a 4" probably, although I haven't played with the SLS 10". The 8" is best used at highest to 250hz so I'd guess that the 10" won't even do that. A 3" can work if it will, but a 4" could be better. It depends on how on axis, what response you get out of those 10's and obviously how capable of a midrange. Preferably you should have as much of the audible range as possible coming from your mid.

L7 and 18" BTL mix.
And you determined there was no cancellation and this setup was beneficial how?

Letting go of my Maw-15's
Not sure what you mean by outdo. For my style of install I'd say you bet, but if you are looking for output I am not so sure.

10" midbass in my kicks????
Pretty absurd to use a 6.5" mid with a 10" midbass. Anything larger than a 4" is a waste when you already have the lower octaves covered.

2 RL-i 10s ported or 1 Icon 15 ported
My post it says "Just out of curiousity", not that I want a pair of 10s. I'm going to try throwing my 15 into a sealed box. What I want is a sealed setup that'll have a nice amount of output. I know and understand that there are subs that sound like ass sealed and some that could have a decent amount of output sealed. Actually it says: Same problem in your threads as your PM's. Please share what your goals are and stop asking this or that questions that CANNOT be answered. If you find a problem with my threads then why do you reply? I asked out of curiousity and you get all technical and annoying lol. Nobody seems to have a problem giving answers but you. Two reasons. 1) Your thread is being ignored because of the content. Jim sort of pointed this out, but you are so lost no one wants to get into it. 2) You sent me around 15 pm's on the same subject and are SUPER stubborn about the whole thing. You wouldn't answer a very simple question when asked and thread like this don't add anything to the site but take things away.

once again i require advice :]
Generically speaking they actually engineer them to sound good. You can't say that about the 5x7, 6x9 or 6x8's. It sounds like you are going to do what you want anyways, so enjoy wasting your money

But really, why wouldn't you have him on the bench. He had gained, what, like 120 yards total in their first 3 games? Though he does always do really well against the Broncos, and with Damon Huard starting over Thigpen I may have given Grandma-ma the nod since they at least had a chance to move the ball through the air that way. But yeah Edwards and Johnson have underachieved so far. I think Steve Smith will be getting back on track, he sorta did this weekend. I also have Gore & Barber My team should be unbeatable, it took me four years to put it all together (dynasty league) and damnit my receivers are killing me. PPR league as well. I am 1-3. wtf??

What more do you want from a utility vehicle? The E-150 is nothing but a big box with an engine and two seats in it. I'm not going to ask for thrilling performance, because when I'm hauling plywood or moving stuff I'm not asking for a thrilling ride, I'm asking for utility. Literally, it is a point-A to point-B vehicle, and I have no demands beyond that. That's where the motorcycle would come in Sure, when I sat in Brooksie's H-D F-250, yes, I would have a very different set of expectations from that vehicle than a standard commercial vehicle, because that's trying to fit in a different market niche. Actually getting the job done is something that the GM can't seem to do. I yanked my boat yesterday with the truck and now something is howling like hell under the hood. Bearing went south in something. Basically GM's lack of quality has just completely axed the CTS-V off my shopping list. Sort of the last straw. Biggest POS I have ever owned.

Welcome to the IHoP
A well maintained 1/2 ton with the 350 will get around 18mpg on the highway, depending on what it is (4x4, long bed, gearing, etc, etc) you could get 20mpg or so on the highway, but beyond that your pretty well screwed. You've got a 5,000-5,800lb truck that is a flying brick down the highway with a 350ci V8 in it... In your dreams. Everyone I know with a non-LS Chev is lucky to get 15, and that is downhill with backwind. Ya'll suck for milage then, my roommate will get 18mpg on the highway with 220,000 on a 90 1/2 ton. He is mathematically challenged or drives 45.

Welcome to the IHoP
Get an F150 He wants better mileage, not to burn up the money in maintenance. LOL, my GM has cost me about 10x in maintenance for 1/3 the miles.

thoughts on the clarion DXZ785USB
Signal to noise ratio. The noisefloor of the signal should be sufficiently low so that you can't hear it.
