What Would You Pick?
Sort of an oxymoron to ask for some thump behind you and SQ...unless of course you have something really hidden up your sleeve in your front stage.

Lining trunk of SUV
He didn't really say it didn't work, just that at frequencies of road noise (100-400hz) it won't be effective. As for why it helped with your thumping, well of course by default when you thump you are exciting the structure with broadband energy including frequencies that are much higher than those where Ensolite will be somewhat effective.

Hey, the more MN'tans the better. You haven't moved yet?

FI Q12 vs BL12 for Reggae
Either sub can be fine, it all depends on what you expect out of your bass. Listening pleasure, push pretty hard, deep dragging bass aren't really helpful...

Welcome to the IHoP
Can the 9861 control the H701 ? not very well, really it is best to just change presets with it and have the controller elsewhere

Welcome to the IHoP
what do you need from who Thanks dude but the problem got solved sort of. Good friend of mine sold his 13w7 and wanted something faster...looked for a pair of idmax's but nobody would answer Ended up buying a new 13w6v2. We'll see how he likes it. faster? perhaps building a different box would have been the best bet.

Sundown Shallow Mid Prototype
You could say it nicer, most suck. So I am really looking forward to there being an exception!

Sundown Shallow Mid Prototype
I wish you were closer, I have a whole pile of mids that we could compare it with.

The best amps for the money!
I think this thread is a waste, the idea is good; however, with no organization you are just going to get boner replies. Answering "this brand" is a useless response considering most brands have some good pieces and some junk. Not all of them are into all quality designs like the Sundowns.

Sundown Shallow Mid Prototype
This could really help a lot of folks with cars with wimpy doors. I am eagerly waiting for a real review!

New Front Stage
Oh, one other thing, I'd run like hell from the AQ amps.

New Front Stage
What you are just saying makes no sense at all. How does bridging have anything to do with distortion at high frequencies. More headroom is ALWAYS better.

cheap componet set
sorry ms but i am gonna get comps, the rsd set on egay for $74 shipped. may not be the "best" but im sure it will sound better than stock. then later when i get a job that i don't have to worry so much about money i'll buy an amp to make them even better. Better, lol. Just buy an amp.

line driver
"world of difference" in what way? You shouldn't have had any feedback or distortion without it, if you did it was operator error on the gain settings.

2 ohm components
A lot of guys with G35's need some assistance in understanding stereo's. Not only is it not the greatest idea, but it is rather a waste of money.

No one can put a number on your installation but you, but I can tell you that you will love the IXL's!

What Would You Pick?
Eh, not really... I'd pick the first option in a sealed enclosure. I'd agree 1000%. Sort of an oxymoron to ask for loud and SQ...unless of course you have something really hidden up your sleeve in your front stage.

matching frontstage to substage
IMO, since you say match in your initial question you should be prepared to spend at least as much on the front stage as you did your sub setup. I'd also expect to spend more on installation than on the hardware itself including copious deadening and some nice mounting baffles. If you forego those steps then you might as well cut even more corners.

ferrofluid
It just adds power handling via cooling, regularly used in pro audio drivers.
