Ran into that with a couple of friends from that hail storm we had earlier, bunch of bull chit is what it is. How about Progressive? I just switched to them from Farmer's and saved 400 per year. Farmers was pretty good, I only had one claim with them (when my stereo got stolen), and they did what every insurance company should do, I had no beefs. But 400 is a lot. It was weird seeing the breakdown of the where the premium comes from, though. With Farmers, about 280 was collision and comprehensive, whereas with Progressive it was only about 140 for those two. They were higher for bodily injury though. I am not a big fan of them either, although they are way better than Geico. Be careful to compare your coverage carefully, both are really keen on giving you less for less.

Agreed. If you aren't willing to spend a lot of time aiming things around and seeing how they sound in different configurations then a 3 way is beyond what you should tackle. Guessing on your aiming now is one thing, but if you are planning to build things without first mocking in all of the drivers and experimenting then the installation will end up a failure...unless of course you are the luckiest sob I have ever seen.

Yours are too short. As for making them longer, it will really depend on which ones you have and either way your box will end up too small. You should buy a 15" instead of an 18" driver.

I'd personally use something other than the L8 as a sub. I'd love to have them as midbasses, but there are a lot of other subs that will do more for less in such a limited frequency range.

The only downfall with that is you are at an age where spending time with your peers won't mean they come 20mi out to see you all that often. In particular ones with boobs. I love the idea of the house and the price seems more than right, but you will constantly be fighting the battle of getting people to visit you as once you live that far out you probably won't want to leave. My 12 never see's that much power even though I have it on a 1000w amp, not even close actually. It can sound great with much less than what it is rated for.

I'd scrap the center channel idea, it will ruin your staging not help it. Unless of course you are playing 5.1 recordings, but that would be movies and not really music.
