Huh, first off Multi-meters do NOT measure impedance. Second, setting your gains with a DMM is dangerous. And hopefully the answer to your question is (not really sure what you asked): You can wire each sub in series and then the pair in parallel or wire each sub in parallel and then the pair in series with the same result.
  2. Not much doesn't beat them in the SQ realm. Dumb question, they sound like utter ass. Listen to them once. Not that it means they can't get loud, because they do that rather well. That is it however.
  3. Are you for real or just trying to be stupid? Considering I truly think its the latter you can stop now. Just so others don't read your post and think you know something and try to follow suite I will clarify. Your logic in going 4 10's in 4cf sealed to 2 10's in 4cf sealed to 2 in 4cf ported is non-existent. Build a damn box that works for your drivers not some arbitrary thing because you can. Digging out 90's music isn't going to help you determine how low drivers play, not really the right time period for that. Albeit of course there are some genre's that will of course have lows recorded in the 90's but when you say 90's you imply popular music and that definitely was not a time for that. Plus if you want to see how low something can play perhaps a sine tone would be a good place to start. Software for building boxes is a joke if you ask me, I do them by hand like I did in the late 80's. Hey imagine that the equations are STILL the same. When I was a kid, I didn't run my highs off a headunit. There are a lot musically educated ones that don't Perhaps you should tell us how you would be happy with 100w on your fronts but 70w isn't enough....oh, excuse me you said you'd be fine off 75w. So you are implying you can hear the difference between a 70w amp and a 75w?? ROFL. Stop talking about kids and talk about enthusiasts. They wouldn't be on a car audio forum if they weren't. Tons of subs can play low in a little box. You just have the tendency to buy shit and then wonder why it doesn't work. I am not surprised that stuff you buy at Walmart won't do what is advertised, but don't assume that the rest of the car audio world follows their spec-man-ship in defining what their drivers will do. There are SO many things I want to say about your state that you can get a "good pair of coax to play the highs reasonable" but I won't other than to frown :(
  4. Looks real good, maybe a video with it on the 1500? And you expect that to show you what????

I think the Schwartz '83 has been autocrossed And was fast as hell, he sold it for a dime on Ebay last year as well. I think he told me $6k. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't at least in Rochester, he normally comes out to the MN shows.
  7. ///M5 replied to mrray13's topic in Off Topic
It isn't because it is too cold, probably your automatic defroster heating it up too much actually.

You bastard, I made some last week and they were so good I ate both racks in a sitting. Now I was going to grill a hamburger or some easy shit tonight, but you got me. Time to go to the local smoke house and chow some down myself.
  9. wrong.
  10. Bass boost is what everyone says is bad. Personally I see no need for a knob either, but I don't every want exaggerated bass/
  11. H701 combo What sort of alignment for the sub? Sealed, ported, IB?
  12. Sorry mang.

yes, the machine is not as important as the grinder. If you had a $700 budget, I'd spend $500 of it on the grinder and $200 on the machine. hrm... elaborate please? I never knew the grind was so important! I would love a cappucinno every morning for sure. elaborate how? It is like installation to a stereo. Even consistent grind is 100% required otherwise the steam or water will take a different route.

Don't need a garage, either, I did mine outside, in the snow But I don't recommend it... Waiting for BM'ers to pop up for sale around here And nobody I know is into European bikes, all the people I know here who ride are Harley folk... Usually Harley folk actually respect BM'ers though, can't say that about rice burners

6 is too fat to fit without tunnel mods, personally I would have just cut it up but his bodywork was already done.

Should be over 450hp of 11:1 E85 fun right there. it'll run e85?? no shit? in my old silverado, which wasn't e85 compatible, it would burn e85 with no noticable loss of hp or mileage. o2 sensors would send a error code stating both sides were running lean though. in the new flexfuel vehicle, hp difference wasn't noticable, mileage dropped a bit. i did notice that e85 mileage wasn't different highway, but it drains it city, stoplight to stoplight. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee It will ONLY run e85. With 11:1 compression on Iron heads you'd be needing race gas otherwise. The guy who built his engine just converted a race gas engine to e85 and it only used 10% more fuel on the dyno. Using it as a flex fuel doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but using it to acquire extra hp through compression does. The advantage is that it makes more extra power through the extra compression than it loses through efficiency losses in burning. Basically netting you hp with very minimal efficiency losses. The disadvantage is that you cannot let the bitch sit for more than 3 weeks at a time. i get ya, and didn't think about the octane/compression..... who wants it to sit anyway? especially since e85 is cheaper then gas , lol.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee And in his case with overdrive, e85, and everything built for it he should get reasonable miles/dollar which is the net end goal. No one really cares per gallon, but per dollar you bet.

and sexy and stout too! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I will say that the Kaisler install instructions were a bit questionable as was the "included" hardware. Same with the complete ARP bolt set on the engine. Neither were complete and while that would be fine, when they say complete they should be. It sucks to have to use a couple 40yr old bolts and the rest pretty 12points. The Kaisler thing that pissed me off was the instructions on the bearing, they say make sure it is a press fit and give a warning but don't even offer a larger bearing. We had to locktite the pilot bearing in place in the crank. Stupid chinese machine shop over ground the pilot bearing hole.

  23. Both of the sundown multi-channel offerings are underrated. I believe the 100.2 does 125x2 And 125 to 150 won't make a difference
  24. It would be for me, but I think her whole goal would be to maximize output.
