Welcome to the IHoP
If you consider 15lbs a bull then yes. Nothing over 20 One of my favorite fish to go after, maybe my favorite in particular after catching 12 over 15lbs in a single day. Not nearly as exciting per fish, but the beauty of reds is that you can catch a lot of them in one day. With Muskies you fish for one or two bites all day, but when it comes get ready to have your heart race like it has never before.

How does a sub play 10 hz when..
It doesn't say that in the specs you just posted. I am not sure what Sundown is using on the SSF. um ok then what does "24dB Octave Crossover Slope" mean? it says 2 lines above where i said it? and i got the specs right off this site? That is for the crossover, not the SSF.

can I replace stock sub with a new sub on stock amp
Not at all recommended. You can keep the stock h/u, but will need an amp, an enclosure, and a sub.

Driven it a few times, most of the time not direct though.

Welcome to the IHoP
I have only caught one while actually fishing for them. Caught several others attached to halfs of smallmouths and bluegills though I live in Muskie country and won't say I have caught a ton of them since I always get distracted and end up bass fishing, but have had a few nice bites. Biggest was 47" which isn't super noteworthy here, but I have also had a 7 Muskie day

Unluckily all Muskie baits are $20+

Going to depend on your processing as well. If you really don't have a budget, I can surely help you spend some money

Very curious how you like the G Splash's as I haven't owned up to spending the dough on any yet. Good bait to do it to as you can almost always get a topwater back.

Welcome to the IHoP
Someone spends money on Xmas, they don't give the LC stuff away. Regularly here the frog/perch colors are better than white add black for severe overcast/night/later in the year and you have my full color collection of spooks. I hope there is a little chop so I can throw the big one

B&C's typically won't play low enough for what I'd consider optimal midbass for metal, I'd want a much more dedicated midbass.

Welcome to the IHoP
What are you throwing on top this time of year?
-
Welcome to the IHoP
Me too Although mine will be short as I cannot catch bass until Saturday. I suppose I will throw for some pike though as at this time of the year they are rather fun. The main lake is up to 59 degrees, normally bass opener is after spawn...obviously not this year although there are bays where it will be warmer. Glad we don't have seasons. Of course I could deal with a catch and release only season like they are proposing here. Wouldn't bother me in the least. Water was 62 degrees last Friday. Smallies were just finishing spawning and are starting to go into "Dinner time" mode Saw lots of empty beds, and a couple with females still lingering. I tore them up with a suspending minnow all day long without going near the beds. Gonna try some top water sight fishing this afternoon hoping they are in full swing WI has a catch release early season so of course, I drive to go hit the lakes there but this year with the boat for sale/shopping for a new one trying to get moved in I didn't have time. I guess luckily it was a cold spring so I didn't really miss that much. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 75 with a big front moving in on Sunday, the first of the fronts really for the year so I am hoping for a little hot fuck action on the lake.

METAL
For metal you need monster midbasses, for rap it is all in the subs. Of course if you truly built an SQ system it will play both perfectly but bassheads won't think there is enough boom.

How does a sub play 10 hz when..
Tuning is meant to taper the frequency of the response to correspond to your desires. Generically speaking tuning higher will yield more output but it will be less smooth with a larger peak in the FR. Tuning lower will be a smoother frequency response. The tuning frequency is actually the -3dB point so it is sort of a misnomer. Either way it is dangerous to play your sub below tuning as you can easily go beyond its excursion limits.

midbass in rear doors?
50hz is directional not sure where that 200hz came from, personally I say if you can't fit them up front don't do them.

Not sure what you mean by screwed. If it is damage, pretty simple since if you haven't either mechanically gone beyond the travel limits of the sub or thermally gotten it to hot it won't be damaged.- Welcome to the IHoP
40mm what is that about a 1/16 of an inch?? More like 1 9/16".... Really don't know how to note that correctly but it reads.... one and nine sixteenth inches you missed my funny- Welcome to the IHoP
Pretty much the only reason for the $10 grinder, it does great with spices but not so much with the coffee. - How does a sub play 10 hz when..
