Need More Power
Your friend is funny. Get an alt.

Keep telling yourself that. No shit. I don't understand, but I guess the difference becomes clear when you have done both.

SAE 1000 vs PDX 1000
Stock implies no big 3 which will be necessary with both.

Older 400x & 600x....these were still good amps , right?
Not sure I understand why you are running coaxes though.

2 rl-i10 vs. 1 ssa icon 10
It will all be in the box. The Icons could take that though.

Amp for dual ICONS
So close to a new Sundown 1500, perhaps one of the factory seconds will fit in your budget though.

2 rl-i10 vs. 1 ssa icon 10
Real easy, although I would imagine they might think your subs sound best crossed at 120hz when in reality 50hz is even better, but of course will take a hell of a front stage to blend.

2 rl-i10 vs. 1 ssa icon 10
The chest will be a function of your midbasses...unless of course you turn up the frequency that your sub is playing into non-sub frequencies. Either way you will have enough power.

Good sub recommendations for SAZ-1500D
The Sundown 1500 would be PERFECT for a pair of Icon's. For the type of install you are doing I don't feel you would gain anything by getting a larger amp other than headaches on how to provide it power. It is a great choice and match, part of the reason I think the Icon's are right for you

I agree and disagree to an extent. My near double masters, has helped and hurt. I have lost out on a good number of positions because they felt do to my schooling, that I would cost too much for that they wanted to pay, or that I did not have enough experience to match the level of degrees. So it was the catch 22 for almost 2 years. Not enough experience to match the education, but could not get the experience because they did not want to pay for the education.. I think that the differentiation is getting stronger though and not weaker as the workforce is even more divided. You and I are in an age group that is 10 years older than these young bucks and I see it as getting more and more difficult to compete with others who already have those degrees when neither have experience. I would also of course recommend that since you realize your issue that you address it up front in the interview. There is a strong possibility that you could have improved your chances by changing your interviewing strategy.

You hinting at something sir? Probably what I will run if I do a 3 way dash setup like what is in the Camry, but of course that would mean I'd have to buy the car I saw that has dash firing drivers.

Good sub recommendations for SAZ-1500D
A pair of Icon 12's in a ported enclosure tuned around 32Hz would give you way more output and still have the control you are looking for. As long as you can fit the space. A pair of 10" Icons ported would probably get you close as well.

2 rl-i10 vs. 1 ssa icon 10
1000w on a pair would be fine, but it definitely depends on your goals.

Any beer snobs here?
Damnit, I really dig stouts too.

2 rl-i10 vs. 1 ssa icon 10
why not two SSA Icon 10's?

Distribution blocks & such
You only need a fuse if you need to protect the wire. If it were me, I'd only run the one by the battery but I'd be real anal about where I ran my wires. If you are lackadaisical about that then you should fuse.

Welcome to the IHoP
In fact, professionally right now I'd really, really push everyone to continue on. A Masters really will open up the job market as many of the lower end jobs will be shipped to where it can be done cheaper. Hell I am pretty much the only one in my company that doesn't have a higher degree.

Maybe, hate school, love my job though. meant I was kidding. Masters > double degree

Baby friendly suggestions.
I suppose I should add it is exactly why we bought one, the w wanted something safe for a baby.

Baby friendly suggestions.
Super safe, HUGE trunk, reasonably quick, AWD, good gas mileage (requires prem. though ), looks good, reliable with only a few quirks. Quirks: -Expensive trannies -expensive front end to align if you start to spit components -occasionally leaky rear seals, although they have mostly not been an issue with the 3.0L but plagued the 2.8 Just watch for those things in purchasing and you should be set.

SAE 1000 vs PDX 1000
1 - Sundown wins bigtime, just look at the ratings 2 - not pertinent, either will be fine 3 - neither are going to be happy with only stock, but either will be fine with just the big three and some proper wiring to the amplifier Based on your list, since 2 are a wash and 1 is dominantly for Sundown (and the most important btw) I don't see how you could choose the PDX...unless of course you buy based on size alone as Denim pointed out.
