    so hungry
  5. The only problem with using your ears is that by the time you hear clipping you are well into it. In particular for an untrained ear as you might easily not tell the difference between a pure sine and 20% distortion on a sub.

What kind of bike? I'm currently waiting to get my honda 954 back in comission. A real old CB750 i owned a 75 cb750k-4. the 4? symbolized the first year of 4 cylinders with 4 carbs. was a neat scoot. with some tweaks, was getting 90mph in the 1/8th very regularly. cut a perfect light, 95mph and high 7s, low 8s. made small (read 600) crotch rockets work, lol. big ones?? now chance, i saw tailights after 60ft. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Mine is an 80 with the "high revving" 4, fun to ride for a cheap bike. I bought it with 4k miles for $700...hard to say no.
  7. I'd like to see how you are powering your Saturn engine with the MTX

  9. I never said you couldn't do decent, just don't dream of keeping up. Are you definitely getting the 360.2? Where are your mounting locations, what size restrictions, where are they aiming, a budget would help as would a larger amp.

The guy I am going with will just want to go to another spot that is open; however, if we aren't going where we planned (ie no lake trout) I have better things to do.
  12. Curious where you found those? I haven't seen any numerical testing before.

I am supposed to be in the BWCA canoeing this weekend in N. MN, but the lake I am supposed to go on had 15" of ice yesterday. Not so sure this trip is happening.
  14. Glad you are okay

I have a strange urge to go for a ride on my motorcycle and its raining.

    Sorry Scott.
  17. Put it this way, realistically you should spend 2-3x on your front stage what you did on your subs if you want it to "keep up". Subs only play 2% of the sonic spectra and all that dough in them and no love for the fronts doesn't really make sense. ie with your current constraints you will not even come close to keeping up.

still trips me out to see the new Ferdinand avatar
  21. If this was your issue what would you do? I'd have less subs, but if I had to be in your shoes I'd definitely go the 3 way route...not that I am you though. The 360 won't really do a 3 way but it will do a 2. The next question is really what do you define your needs are quality wise. That is a hell of a lot of boom to keep up with and you are going to need some uber efficient drivers.
  22. You left out the most important piece of info. Budget and space, without no one can answer.
  23. What are you using for a crossover? Note, never pick speakers based on their impedance (subs aside) and power handling on a tweeter isn't a concern as you will never give them more than 15w anyways.
  24. If you run those, they might like a higher tuning. I wouldn't but the drivers tend to be happy in "loud" boxes.
