Welcome to the IHoP
I just put a hole in the wall removing a cabinet. Drinking and home construction = fun repairs for later.

Too bad, best $10 I have ever spent. Sounds as good as my M-audio card.

Of course, but not on an airline that will help. Just need to be able to go from Tucson, AZ to Islip, NY or JFK, or LaGuardia.............Flights are too fucking expensive.......especially when some decisions cannot be made till last minute. J NWA makes you wait a week to spend FF miles Otherwise I would have flown someplace this weekend.

Welcome to the IHoP
Going over budget is the norm. man.......... J I guess i'll give a little explanation of what i'm doing. I'm going to spend all summer putting money in the bank, Late summer I'll buy my camaro, enjoy it for a month or so. I will take a video of me cruising on the highway before sound deadening. Than once winter rolls around, the car is getting stripped, sound deadenend and than its off to Audio Obsessions to be built by Jeff for sound quality. I will be using product we all know exclusively (minus wiring) And than I will be doing a comparison with an expert iasca camaro (same body style, same installer). Will eventually be holding a mock IASCA event, judging the two cars face to face as a testament to many companies found on this forum. The car i'm facing is owned by a member of the elite team image dynamics, and competes in IASCA in expert class. I will be fully documenting the build, and will finish my review off by adding the video of me driving down the highway again showing the difference in floor noise after sound deadening. To give you an idea of what I'm up against, Jeff estimates if a customer were to walk into Audio Obsessions and hand him a camaro to recreate what his car is it would cost somewhere around 16k for install, equipment, and tuning.

gypsy rendevous. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Now I wish you referring to the Band of Gypsies getting back together, but between being old and dead that isn't possible. What are you talking about?- cold air intake, tornado fuel saver, k&n air filter
Both Neon's descriptions are pretty spot on but I'd like to add something. On some cars, for instance my M5 the K&N doesn't flow anymore than stock and only has the detrimental effect of leaching more particles through as well as bleeding some of the filter oil. Personally I am not a fan of changing any stock airbox to a K&N filter. The upside isn't worth the downside. Either go with a CAI and the filter or don't do it at all. Oh and bigjon, the guy you spoke to is mathematically challenged.- Welcome to the IHoP

Tastes like sweet vodka to me Really want to try shochu, but the lack of a sizeable asian community around these parts makes it hard to get. (I'm just happy I can get actual soy sauce, not the fake La Choy stuff) Wow, didn't realize Texas was so cultured.- Welcome to the IHoP

Nearly exactly what is in mine- New Little Project for College
Not so sure I'd do an 8 sealed, unless you have nearly no space...which brings up a rather important question. How much space do you have? So far we know, 200rms, music/occasional movies and a small room. Budget, space, what it will be blending with, listening preferences and such will help a lot.- 4-WAY active help
Mounting locations? Limitations? Processing? Goals?- Question about Amplifier Crossovers
I don't quite understand exactly what you are asking anymore. Please clarify before you spend more money as you have already chosen not to save by buying the 6x8's.- Screws vs. Brad Nails
I would actually strengthen that statement and say that the resin can make it weaker.- Two-way subwoofers?
I really wouldn't do that, unless you have a pair of them and can mount them upfront. Anything much above 40hz and the localization cues are too strong. It is funny, the real trick in getting a car stereo to sound right is pretty much always in the midbass. Oh, you can get your 8 to play low you might just need a slightly larger box. My RLi8 can get down and boogie.- SQ sub choices
2 midbasses, the other 2 chn of that amp can be for the sub. <--doesn't do multiple drivers playing the same frequency range, at least above 50hz - Welcome to the IHoP
