  1. In particular with the rest of the mess going on. I would simplify.
  2. Very install dependent. I already told you what to try at least once, maybe twice. Underlap a lot and work your way together to see what sounds best. Without being in your car I can't really get more specific. You will need to try all different slopes and phase combinations as well. It literally takes hours, which typically translates into days or months to really nail it down. A logical starting point: W18 LP 1000Hz :: HDS HP 1800Hz then work your way in. For starters I'd use 12dB but would expect that you will have to try all variations of slopes and points to nail it in.
  3. Easily if you are intelligent about it.

Actually the weather is sweet to, it is really rather moderate for the midwest.
  5. But you are in way over your head, you seem to always forget the KISS principle and it will always negatively affect your installs
  6. You will have to underlap anyways so you don't need 1200!! Just because the w18e falls off there does not mean your tweet should go that low
  7. Compared to diy they don't stack at all...but you will need processing.

I'd much rather see 305 on 18's tucked with mini-tubs and a shortened axle than 22's Hell I'll even give you 19's.

<--likes 305's, but they have to tuck.

Let me guess, he hasn't presented an 8/4 ohm load (whatever the receiver wants). So indeed yes, he is killing his receiver and needs to start understanding impedance loads before going any further.

thanks Matt. Always curious to try whatever I haven't eaten. My sort of standard menu reading trick, what is this I haven't heard of it, I'll take it.
  17. *refrains from making a knob joke You can pretty much use any knob...
  18. You can easily still have a knob, Windows volume control supports external knobs. STUPID reason

Could probably help VJ blow all his drivers by changing my recommendation on the car pc to even if we really lay out how to help, it will be catastrophic.
  21. The computer trumps everything. No h/u, no eq, no crossover...only amps. However it is dangerous as you are now using the pc to control everything which is infinitely variable and I again don't think you are ready for it. (ie do it at home first)
  22. Because it is FAR from trivial to implement, considering your grasp of what needs to be done so far I think it is like running a marathon before you have learned to crawl. I would highly, highly recommend that you don't go down this path.

I have to go get a new passport, mine has expired
  24. i still have my HU I meant instead of a carpc.
