Getting ready to fly to Texas. -
The only real suggestion is to un-temporize the wiring and see if it still exists. I bet the problem goes away. A relay is a good idea to add anyways though so do it.

Oh, beware of disturbing the adhesives though. A lot of paint thinners might eat through them. For this reason perhaps using a latex based paint and watering it down with water might be the trick... not sure if it will stick though.

Just don't put much on and you should be fine, the amount of mass you will add is probably less than the variation from cone to cone...in particular if it is a pulp coned driver.

Realize when you look at the plans that the crossovers usually cost as much as the drivers, sometimes more.

Selling the PG's, I think you might be sad later on. Same goes for the RL-p. I agree, but everything is replaceable....some might get sold to me for my boat though. I think the Rlp will make it there.

Don't start with a 3 way. Way too complicated for a first shot. I would recommend building someone elses plans the first time out.

For the $ MDF is the best substance. I would double the baffle as well and brace the enclosures as well.

12" IXL, dropped right into the Rlp box. Had it in a different box in the house, but wanted to hear it in the truck. It is a proto.

full = off... I didn't say phase issues, just that all crossovers will effect the phase response.

Still going to effect the phase though. What sort of amps don't allow you to shut them off?
