I know how that goes. She wants to keep what we have or get something used for the next few years because she doesn't want it parked in the middle of a 10,000 vehicle student parking lot ... and I agree. January or April 2010 will involve a significant move (house + job) so we'll have to see how things play out. We'll see what happens. I have that boss under control, in my case I am literally negotiating with my boss as I want him to pay for it all.

If your budget allows, the Peerless HDS would pair really nice with those and fit your description pretty darn good too. One other option I feel compelled to point out. IMO you would be better off with a temporary active install before buying any of this. Reason being no matter what you choose there are other options. It is a really good idea to have a baseline before dropping money. What I am really saying is buy a used set of drivers that aren't so expensive and install them. Listen for a month or two, tell us what you don't like/like and then buy your perfect setup. If you are impatient the HDS/W18NX combo is pure ear secks though. Just don't be dumb early on the setup and blow one of the drivers as they don't give them away.

With a 2" lift you could do a pair of ICON 12's sealed or a pair of 10's ported fairly easily. A little depends on what aspects you are willing to give up, but either way you could really make one hell of a sub setup.

Perhaps I will have a new vehicle to play with by then Been doing some shopping lately, but we shall see.
