Amp search...
I wouldn't be interested in a MA or Hifonics. I really hope you aren't attempting this with anywhere near a stock electrical system.

Usually the gut is the right one and it was blue, I think I wavered today since there were better deals on the red ones.

Woot, just sold the 93. $3200 in cash sitting in my pocket that has to be spent on a sled I need to add a little too it to get what I want, but not too much.

I wanted blue until today and now feel like red. Damn decisions.

Someone coming to look at the bro-in-laws other sled here, hopefully it goes. That would mean I sold 3 sleds this week and can then buy a newer one Considering we have had nearly 20" of snow already that rocks. Now I have to choose, blue or red.

im looking for a three inch driver, sub,
No, 6x9's are not made for 6ft of cubic space or more. As for the vented box what does that have to do with relieving pressure???

Sweet. As always the grinder is more important than the machine.

Umm, that isn't installing that is bolting in drivers. You really, really need to treat your doors. While your bandaid size installation of deadener may have knocked out a few rattles it didn't help how your speakers sound. You need 100x that much at least, definitely a baffle, and some decoupling method would help as well.

Alpine 9887 vs Pioneer 980BT
Brain fart, I completely didn't read the 980bt right. That deck is useless for active purposes, I thought you were looking at an older Pio that actually had crossovers which brought up the same price question as a deck that was used worth around $150 and the 9887 at the same price, the Alpine wins as a no brainer just since it is new. In your case though for your purpose you can't buy the 980bt as it will do you no good. 9887 wins then.

What sort of grinder?

The roast is more important than the beans. I prefer mine to be roasted and then sit for 3 days before grinding. Grinding fresh for every cup/pot is important as well. I can taste a deterioration within an hour or so after being ground. You can see it in the way my machine extracts as well. If you don't have a local roasting company around that roasts to a degree that you like, I highly recommend shopping here online. http://www.intelligentsiacoffee.com/ The beans will be roasted on the day you order them and you will get them in a couple days. If she has a nice espresso machine the Black Cat blend is sort of a defacto standard of many real espresso drinkers. Their other coffees are nice as well though. The real key again is they will be delivered very fresh.

Nope. Left for coffee since I haven't plumbed in my machine yet, but am back for a little bit. Have to buy some plane tickets to CA and then clean the office.

Alpine 9887 vs Pioneer 980BT
At the same price? If so, grab the 9887 unless you have a strange particular processing need we don't know about. Any particular feature difference you are wondering about?

the new fosgates
Not sure I'd really care anyways. 10% doesn't really buy you anything unless you are chasing 10ths which aren't audible.
