  1. Regrettably, IMO nowhere near enough room.
  2. active control = yummy
  3. Perhaps you should change the title of your thread. Not a whole lot of people are eager to look at something that just says "A few simple questions"

I'm just extremely mad that she isn't doing much to solve the problem....I couldn't do my homework that was due today because of it. I even tried calling some people from our class to see if they could print me off the slides but no one answered their phones. It's not like I didn't try I did, ::sighs:: I dunno, just a bad day I guess. I don't disagree with you, just can't imagine you are buying yourself any "subjective points" on homework or tests by calling out the prof in front of the class.

That is puzzling. If my woman offered to do that, I would know she had done something wrong. Not sure what to tell you. The first question though would be are you guys together and will you be staying together?

I'll work on it, but I really don't want to be the perve that goes around shooting pictures. To give you guys an idea of what goes down, here is a shot that a friend of mine took from a helicopter. The quality sucks since I have it as a print and just took a picture with my camera as it hangs on the wall. You see a row of boats, where the littlest is 30' long a mob of people standing in 3' of water and a band playing on a large pontoon. Lots of fun and every woman is in a bikini

I wish I had the space too Saltwater > lake Very few things better in life than casting past the breaking waves with the sun rising over the ocean. Well, until a big ass wave comes and soaks you. One of them happens to be people watching on Lake Minnetonka
  13. I would highly recommend going and listening to those Quarts before buying them. If you haven't heard them you may either end up in love or hate depending on your preferences. rofl at mr420 and one quick suggestion. Go and listen to a well installed car stereo once with only a dedicated and well designed front stage and it will be very clear to you why everything you have stated about rear fill is wrong. Very, very clear.

For a slim sub I like the idea of the TB's, but his expectation of too much bass along with his budget and space requirements aren't really going to mesh. Also curious as to how much power you think you will be able to have with a $700 budget and buying all of the drivers and install equipment. Not really much of a budget Of course I am not as nice to my friends. If they want my help they have to step up and spend a little do
  20. Only the external measurements of what your box size would be. Actually internal volume would be even better.

What really is your issue? Do you want it louder or to sound better? To me its a no brainer, I couldn't handle having an L7 in my car period. Are you using the same amp? That L can take a lot more than you are throwing at it so the SPL portion shouldn't be that hard, the satisfaction of having a sub that can blend with your frontstage will only come with the Q and not the Kicker.
  22. Two part answer to your headunit question. The first part is simple Physics and the other Psychoacoustics. Your volume control knob does have a pretty exponential output, in the sonic world they call it an audio taper potentiometer but really it is pretty much just straight exponential. Part of the reason why 8v outputs are completely unnecessary on a headunit since no one runs them full throttle anyways. To talk about the other reason, we need to extrapolate on the 3dB perceptibility point. In back to back comparisons an average human can actually hear 1dB differences, but once you add the time factor and memory to be involved 3dB is better than what the average person can tell this timeblock of course is completely dependent on the individual but has been shown with nearly any other stimulation that it is pretty short. The caveat is of course a trained ear can be significantly better, typically this requires years of study on an instrument and has been proven that Musicians can regularly exceed these ranges, but the opposite is also true.
  23. Your car is so clean it has to be a blast to work on. Nice work mang!
  24. I'd do DIY from the get go. A pair of CA18RNX's can be run full range until you get an amp to go active with. Getting a robust tweeter than can use a simple 6db passive temporarily would be fine as well. For ease of crossover/installation I'd pair it up with the Peerless HDS. You are at your budget and will have an unbelievable nice set of components when you finally upgrade to active. Until then it will still sound better than any $200 component set anyways.
  25. Your list is easy, Sundown. The Memphis is normal, the Hifonics borderline crap, and the newer US Amps don't give me the warm fuzzy the way the older ones did.
