I just now noticed the "Moderation Options" tab on the bottom of the screen. I am not nearly as perceptive as I thought I was...
  6. sounds great my ass.
  7. For $300 and passive, I'd recommend a 2 way and not a 3.
  8. So the metal tweet isn't your favorite part? Good. Here are some tweeters that I like that could work great in your app: the first three eat your budget but are yummy Scan-Speak 7100 Seas Millenium T25CF Morel Supreme 110 More inline with your budget: Peerless HDS Morel MDT30 more budget friendly Seas H1189 (or if you decide you like the metal the H1212) Dayton RS28A (again metal) / Usher 9950 which is damn similar LPG 25nfa Mids (all 7"): Seas W18NX Scan-Speak Revelator Peerless Exclusive User 8945P budget friendlier: Dayton RS180 Seas CA18RNX Personally with your budget, I'd probably get the w18nx and the Peerless HDS.

I will put more in later, I have to lead a couple webex's and will be away for the next few hours
  11. Well personally I'd mount a large format tweeter and a mid in the door. With your budget you can afford some rather stellar stuff, but will also need to make sure that you adjust the install to insure that you get the most out of it. I am curious as to what your pleasure/displeasure with the Focals is now, it may help to recommend some drivers.

Solen is Canadian and a partner of Madisound indirectly anyways since a great majority of their drivers are imported to cheeseland first and then shipped to Solen.

I buy most of mine from Madisound.com (but I drive there) or Partsexpress.com PE's showroom is nicer than Madisounds, but Madisound is the direct importer for Seas for North America and of course feeds my boner.

Sounds like a great deal. Other than their size I love those amps, but conveniently plenty of amp room in your truck. for active. It will allow you to match a tweet with your set that will take some of the hurt away.

top o' the mornin' to you as well. TGIF!!
  22. Holy above and beyond, you impress me daily Scott.
  23. I love the idea of a midbass in the door but hate the idea of using the xxx as a midrange. It really would be better to sell what you have and start from scratch if you go the three way route.
  24. So you believe everything you find on the web? The original writer of that post is mentally challenged. Particle board is terrible /thread
