First Home Theater Setup
For the $500 you are nearly screwed. I'd build a set of cheap bookshelves from the HTGuide and get a pawnshop 2 chn receiver and call her good. That combo would still smoke a >$1k system from best buy but will only be two speakers. Either way no issues. As for the other room with $3k as recommended above, I'd definitely agree that you are on a used or build your own budget as well. In both cases I'd recommend spending it all on 2 speakers and foregoing the surround as your budget doesn't really allow for it IMO.

If the straight line is a standing mile I'd doubt it.

Well the crazy people I don't give a damn about top speed, I want to know what it'll do the 1320' in! It will do that quick, but take the nurburing even quicker. I highly doubt I'll ever be able to drive the nuremburg, or even see it, but the 1/4mile I can do. But if I remember right, the new Z06 still holds the record for the fastest lap of a production car... The Nobel isn't considered a production car.

Sat in one at a Lotus Lambo dealer in Chicago. By far the coolest "kit" car I have ever seen and for sure that I fit in.

Headroom is a major problem. I tried really hard at the Pantera dealer, but couldn't fold myself in a way to drive. Feels a lot like a Lotus Espirit which I look really funny in.

The Pantera is mod-able for me to sit in, but barely and not really comfortable for long distances at all. I want to build a driver.

Buy the '66 GT 40. Regrettably I don't come close to being able to sit in one of those. Not even if you cut me off at the knees.

looks like a very cool place They let you walk around and sit in anything. The cars are just sort of packed into a big warehouse. The nicest in the collection were of course roped off.

at the moment convertibles are out.- Welcome to the IHoP
There is something that a muscle car has that a European can't and that is nearly free unlimited horsepower. Of course the Pantera fits in that category as well, but I'd feel bad chopping one of those up and I do plan to do some serious chopping.- Welcome to the IHoP
I am "taking my time", but should be done by the end of the week. Takes me a little longer as I tend to read every article instead of just the ones that I am interested in. Definitely reinforcing my ideas as well which is superb.- Welcome to the IHoP
Oh Tom, I sat in a 68 a couple of hours ago. Actually sat in: 1968 Camaro SS 1970 Dodge Challenger 1970 Ford Mustang Fastback & a 70 Mach 1 1968 Mustang Convertible 1965 GTO 1966 Dodge Charger 1970 Dodge Dart (all today!!)- Welcome to the IHoP
