Welcome to the IHoP
I'd like to see coveralls that can move at 3ft/s. Be one fast redneck.

Welcome to the IHoP
I stand over a 2200F furnace containing molten metal for 12 hours of a day wearing 3 ft/s coveralls, thermal long underwear and long sleeve shirt, a respirator, and a molten metal splash jacket ... and it is 109F outside. On the way up to the lunch room, still in the plant but not near the furnaces, the air temperature is 158F. At least I'm not getting shot at. why are you doing that now??

Perhaps a quick review of 6th grade algebra is necessary. If you can't do some math none of them are going to work out right.

Planar home subwoofer ideas.
A couple of years ago they didn't think it was practical to do at all (Magnepan that is), I guess I should stop in more often.

Help with Decision - 8's
In the same volume as my single ported rli8 you could actually fit 6 sealed. Since you have a Belle, I'd go with a pair sealed.

I don't think the 87 will control the H701 very effectively; however, I am not sure. On the same note you don't really need the H701 if you have the 87 since the crossovers and things are in the headunit. The H701 will be a lot more flexible, but you can get the job done with just the hu if you have a good one. The only real headunit control of the H701 that is worth anything are teh screen units.

38-1.5 = 36.5 16-1.5 = 14.5 36.5*14.5 = 529.25 .89 * 1728 = 1538 1538/529.25 = 2.9" (+1.5) 4.4" Obviously you need to make it either less wide or less tall otherwise your box is on 3" deep on the inside. The 1.5" assumes that you use 3/4"mdf for all of the walls.

1 cuft = 1728 cu inches multiply the internal dimensions by each other length x width x height and you will have cu in all you have to do is then divide by 1728: LxWxH=CuIn/1728 = Cuft

Actually it is my understanding they misinformed you. Unless of course the 9857 is the bastard stepchild, but it is my understanding that you can change from one preset to another with the headunit but do no setup as I stated before. The 9857 is sort of a joke for a headunit anyways. Compared to their older and soon to be offerings it really doesn't live up to the Alpine namesake IMO. The controllers get sold used pretty cheap regularly...
