As for the Dog comment, don't worry Aaron not taking it critically. I don't like them either, but bang for the buck in what I am looking for--quiet (at least helpable meaning no really weak window seals), cheap <$8k, 4wd, enough power to tow, and fittable with a decent system. I'd like it to look okay as I know myself and if I am not happy with it, I will see it within 3 months. My track record is averaging about 9 months with a car. My theory on the Dodge, and comment are greatly appreciated and encouraged including critical ones. Tried and true V8 in either the 318 or 360 (preferred) I have heard piston rods slap on engines that still run fine as the bottom end build is great, if they would have figured out how to make heads better I'd sure be happy. The trannies do go, but most I look at have new ones. The rest of the 4wd portions seem to be okay and they don't even have the push button on the fly parts to break just a good old fashioned lever. Other than that it is all little barely complicated or expensive stuff in A/C, power steering, blah, blah. There just aren't any gadgets on these rigs to break hardly. That and they don't seem to rust like the 92-96 body Fords or mid 90's Chev's.

My Uncle has an SRT-10, fun to drive. Bastage also has an 06 M5 and a Z06 on order *sighs and realizes that there are 3 good reasons to not have kids*

My comment was geared towards eliminating the passives you were looking at. Most people use them to avoid another amp, didn't think you needed to worry about that other than a little install time

Am I to read that these look a little gaudy to you then? Any other recommendations from anyone I will definetely look into. I really want it to look like they could be stock in an Alpina/Dinan/Mod company sort of way (the Dinan and Alpina wheel are ugly IMO though).

Oo, forgot to add that most of the ones that I have looked at have heated leather. I really want to find a Sport though as I think that the painted bumpers look nicer on the Dogs.

Need summer rims for the M, and it looks like I need them soon! My requirements: as light as stock 24lbs or less, hopefully 18", have a almost stock but nice look, close to stock offset 20mm, and I would love them under $250 each. *realizes the reach for the moon* Here are the current leaders. ASA rims made with "BBS Technology" they are not forged, but only 22lbs each in 18" and they come in the right offset for my car. What do you guys think? Obviously my car is more red and lowered a couple inches from the dumb rack car, but at least it gives an idea...

Elias, Might be looking at Dodge's *gasp*. Seems to me 2000/2001 Sport/Quad Cab 4dr/Leather ~$6700 with about 110k. I have seen a ton of 'em in that price. The leather alone goes a long way for me as it is so much easier to keep clean, then the four doors, newer vehicle.... Up here with the salt the 94-96's usually have some rust problems, which is of course why I think my Ford needs to go.

Thanks Brad, of course it is mounted vertically and the screws did feel a little strange as it took me at least three tries to get them to grab. I even changed gauge to see if it would help. Of course now they are too short to mount horiz and then move vertical...may just pull out ye olde soldering iron.

Actually spent all day at Seagate today doing the same. The inner workings of the 1" drives are incredible to watch in the clean room. I can't wait until somebody comes out with an Ipod/Cell phone/Digital Camer/Windows Pocket PC that has a real camera and a real hardrive (60gb+). I'd pay more for one of those than a laptop if it were small.

I should clarify as well I suppose, the Vifa does have a low FS 680Hz but a 3/4" tweet can be overdriven easily. I would rather have drivers that overlap a bunch so that I can be flexible with my crossover and slopes while tuning. It could allow you to use your crossover to remove anomalies in your car without even getting into an eq. Definitely experiencing this with my setup, now if I could just settle on a setting and leave it alone....
