  1. Suzuki swift, ha. That is some funny stuff. That and seeing 2 new Mercedes. As of late they have had so many reliability issues I am surprised to see them on the list. Love their past, but am concerned over their future especially after touring their assembly plant. I pretty much I think this is a case of non-car people making a list. Especially noting there are NO american cars on the list. While it is true the recent past has been shady for them, cars like the Fusion, the new F150 just shouldn't be left off that list.
  2. Regretably, my Denon DCT-3500 is dead and gone. However, I really like the idea of 5 channel amps but being that "5" is one character they are really hard to search for. For ease of installation, space savings, and for a dedicated set of drivers a 5 channel fits real well (read the woman's car). Thought I would start a list and ask that everyone list anything else that they might use. Denon DCT-3500 -- 35wx4 @4 80wx1 @4 NeXt VRZ 500.5 -- 70wx4 @4 240x1 @4 Kicker KX700.5 -- 40wx4 @4 200x1 @4 Alpine MRV-F450 -- 30wx4 @4 150wx1 @4 SoundStream Van Gogh VGA800.5 -- 50wx4 @4 200wx1 @4 So far the NeXT is winning by specs, but thought there has to be other options.
  3. If someone from there will send over a Ural for free testing we could let them join.
  4. Imagine that spam accounts from a free Russian webservice. I'd go ahead and ban it. If you need a translator Russian happens to be the only non-English language I speak.

The fronts are only $6 so I am doing those for sure.

What do you think are these worth 80 bones to get rid of the amber lenses? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/89-90-95-BM...040013168QQrdZ1
  7. 3 would be yummy.
  8. 36-66 actually
  9. 5 spoke Porsche wheels that fit a VW? I have these in my basement... http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=2/5309224172.jpg&s=x402
  10. Why put it in an already fast Cobra? I'd prefer to see it stuffed into an old classic and since it was a rear engine car....Ford Pantera FTW!
  11. Or at least use the e-brake for turning in the snow. Woot! Sounds to me like a Master C, pretty unusual to lose just a caliper and have absolutely no brake force anywhere else. In your car the rears and fronts should be a separate part of the master though, which would mean if you lost a caliper that only half of your brakes wouldn't work. Is the pedal really, really stiff? If so, you may have just lost your booster. Attached to the MC is a vacuum pump that adds to your braking power--brake booster. If this goes and you have disc brakes anywhere on the car your pedal will get really firm. How did it feel as they went out. A classic MC going out will allow you to stop, but as you sit at the stop sign your foot goes closer and closer to the floor. If it is just bleeding, your car has been neglected for a long time. Your brake pedal would have felt pretty darn mushy before it went out. Good luck!

  13. Sweet, you'll enjoy that.
  14. A review will follow please. Looks nice and I am sure they will pair nicely with an Rlp or Rls.

All truck cabs are a little different and prone to sweet spots. What make and model is it? Someone might have tried in one...

Puktard ta, lol! Sorry your day has sucked.
  17. Being the subs "optimal" enclosure size is where you started I don't think you will gain anything. Also, as Denim states the power handling of the sub goes down the larger the enclosure you put it in which might make you lower where your gains are set to keep from damaging the driver--of course it might be fine as adding the amount of "perceived" airspace by stuffing might not make all that much difference. It will make the sub feel like it is in a larger box, but maybe not that much larger. I guess, I wouldn't bother but it isn't that hard to yank the sub and try it out.
  18. Install pics?
  19. How is the install going?
  20. Updated pics??

Whack out a chunk of subfloor...
  22. Do you just split the length of the second port length between the 2? I've changed my box plans (2 seperate chambers with their own port) But I'd still like to know for future installs. I think you are onto something with the 2 separate chambers. No funny questions there.
  23. Complete with green nitrile gloves!
