Omega Midbass (22mm of xmax)
Perfect, if they break down and you need relief I have access to a full arsenal of B&K gear, a large anechoic chamber, and a laser vibrometer. The time in the room wouldn't be free for me, but I can make it happen if necessary.

What's the advantage with mid bass??
It will definetely add to your bass/midbass depending on how your subs are crossed over. Mine only play 60Hz and below, most music has a lot of bass higher than 60Hz. If your sub is crossed over real high, you will have a different experience. What are your comps? There are a ton of options that will "add" to your bass. If I misread that and you meant add as in make everything more musical, sound better, be cleaner, and generally more pleasant to listen to then most likely a fresh set of comps will go a long way provided you amplify them correctly and such (without knowing what you have...) Besides wanting to know what you have for comps, I'd really like to know how they were installed. It may be more logical for you to just spend some time fixing the install instead. You will be surprised how much that alone can add. Usually more than a new set of speaks (again without knowing...) Let us know what you have.

First Looks: Revamped RL-i 8" Driver
Any thoughts/plans of building one with a little higher extension? I remember there being some either TC2+ or TC2 8's floating around a while ago that had decent extension....up to around 500hz or so. That would make me redo everything!

If what you are saying is true, I am in for a pair; however, I can't assume just because you typed something here it is as stated...much more likely here than other places.

Ideas for interior wall materials??
Generally a good idea to use anything to limit reflections, however in a sub cabinet I don't think I would care. For what at short wavelengths is a must, you just don't need for those big multi-foot ones.

Welcome to the IHoP
Involves gluing some vacuum cleaner parts back together. The hose is connected to a piece of plastic that connects to the vacuum. The hose came apart from the plastic piece. Didn't see the glue squeezing out from the joint. I walked around looking like an elephant until I skillfully butchered some skin off with my pocket knife. I showed that vacuum who's boss.

Even better in my Waves class when the final was 30% of your grade and one question. Friggin' took me 3.5hrs to get 13% right on it. Some bast*rd finished in 20 minutes.

I'm glad it's not raining over there for a change Another nice day today. Maybe I'll make use of it by wasting time indoors We had over a month and a half straight of rain ... it was pucking ridiculous ...On another note, I collapsed at work today ... Apparently, I'm not quite over my pneumonia ... Oh well, at least I get a long weekend Pneumonia, 15 deg and driving with the windows down. Were you chain smoking lucky strikes too? Sorry to hear you are sick tho, get better. (assuming you dumbed down your C's to F's for us yanks)

Aaron, you a wise man and a fool wrapped up into one. You'll make a perfect husband. I'm just a jakcalope who expects equality. You want a gift from me, better get me something. I know what you mean. In my situation, she is the mother of my soon to be child. So, in my place I do what ever she needs (to a point, plus a little fun loving heckle or two). But I am the proactive type who still likes equality. I am lucky enough that I don't have to do something first just to get her to do it. So far since I have been able to $$ take care of us and our needs, there has been no heat about a mysterious long box that says 8002 on it that showed up, or the numerous drivers that litter our nice laundry/storage room. Agreed. Treat her well, but make sure she knows her place. Don't eff with the long box, or in your case the Merc.

I know I have a car audio addiction when......
from personal experience....when you are running 2 JBL 1500GTi's in your dorm room because they are laying around no longer in your car, of course built into an MDF bar--one that shakes too much to hold bottles.

I Love Miter Joints
Of course, if you glue well and use good glue the joint (of either type) will be stronger than the MDF itself. At least it has been with every box I have built, when I "retire" them we do the smash and burn and they NEVER break on the joints. So I say, use what is easier. If your joints are sloppy you will have a better fit with the miter though as it has more area to make up the diff.

which one ?
I'd buy the SS, of course I own one but you did point something out yourself it is rare. Even if the dls were a little better (which I doubt but don't know as I haven't heard one) and a little cheaper, I'd definetely still buy the SS since it is more rare and unique. That is worth some money in my book. Add to that Mike's service and a product that you will be happy with and it seems like a no-brainer to me.
