You just outlined 9 cuft which includes box materials, port space, the drivers, and filling up the space completely. Are you sure that you can get a box that big into the car in one shot? If so you should be just fine as you don't need 9cuft...

You nailed a couple of the reasons I bought mine: Great SQ, small box for a 12", and superb company to work with.

Wang it does, but in a strange way sometime. When mine is in the basement living room it gets my whole house humping, but seems sort of "quiet" in the room its in.

Fair enough. Once the first and second year base (crap)/preres. courses are over it'll get better. Usually, anyway. I hope I'm gonna enjoy research when I start it next quarter. Human phys has actually been my most enjoyable bio class, since it's so real world. Whether you enjoy it or not, it will go faster with each quarter. And likely all too soon it will be done, just might not seem like it now.

Umm, buy the rims. At that price you can't really say no. Even if you just buy them and sell them on Ebay. Or better yet, sell your current set for $ to buy tires. If you want a kickazz mouse, the Razer Diamondback is sweet. I have one of those and one the Microsuck new Intellimouse cordless and the Razer is WAY more accurate, super light, and works better than any I have ever used.

No its real, they play 20Hz to 20kHz. Of course with -110dB at 20Hz and -90dB at 20kHz. Sounds great though. They are for sale in the classifieds right next to "Used car, low miles, fully loaded, runs great, needs engine, $3300"

Are you worried about the building or the design? There are a multitude of people on this board that could sell you the design, the building you could then either farm out to someone or do it yourself. Oh, and I 2nd what Eldorado said but would add that the owner and support of SS is above and beyond all others as well. Enjoy the SS's!

You NEED 35 sq inches of port area. More is okay, less is not. Depending on your location there might be someone here who would build/sell you a box or no matter where you are you could buy a design here and then you would know you are right and you could have some locals put it together for you. Definetely worth the minimal money to make sure it is done right.

Pretty much. Those doors are deceiving...plenty of clearance behind the panel to the window, but almost no clearance in the front. I'm having to sand and shave the MDF baffles down to reallly tight tolerances to get the speakers not to hit the front panel. That's my project for tomorrow when I'm not catching up with a week's worth of work Jim, You'd be a god to me if you would either post pics or email me some. I want to do a "budget" active 2 way in my doors. Not sure what drivers I am going to use yet, but seeing what you are doing would help a lot. After installing the system in my M, I just can't handle the stock she-i-o anymore in the truck. I don't drive it much, but when it is crappy out (often enough in MN) I need to.

Think it is about 15deg F outside, but have managed via fire to get the house up to 65 from barely over 50 when I got home
