Yea, I had borrowed a friends 50mm 1.4 lens but she didn't have a lens hood or anything which is why the overly bright shots... I didn't do anything to them, just tried to compensate during the photo taking ... I'll try and play with Picasa to see if I can correct the brightness...

Thanks, I'm only about 1 1/2 months into this photography game... I just love taking photos for some reason.. The sunset photos were random too. I was driving home from work on the highway and saw how orange the sky was and I pulled the fck over and took a few shots from the car.. Then I said "fck it, I'm getting out to get some better shots... Cars were zooming 60mph + since it is a major highway here in NJ. I must've looked insane just pulling over and getting out the passenger side since the shoulder was too small for me to open the door on the driver's side...

Nah, some good things were said ... I have never developed my own film .. EVER... Just not practical for most people unless it was for a living... But I'm all about the digital world... lol

just put a desk lamp or flashlight point from a side angle into the coil area...

Just a FYI, it really looks like you took that photo in black/white on your camera... Did you ??? Cuz it the basket doesn't even look the right color, let alone the coils...

I have one Minolta and Yashika film slrs. I don't use them anymore but they were awesome. I used to love hunting fir black and white film and taking family portraits. Alas no more of that. :-( On a side note I love my Sony alpha.

Yea, I've done alot of night time shooting with some prime and zoom lenses... Luckily for me I can try a few different lenses from time to time... But I need a good everyday lens.. I've been looking at this: it's a 16-105mm lens so it can cover decent range for the most part... But I def want a nice prime lens as well but everyone is telling me not to waste my money....

lol... I picked up my A580 and have taken 5k in less than a month... Get with the program !!! lol :fing34: Edit: Forgot to add, you took some great shots bro.... Doing any editing yet?
