  1. Yes, that amplifier would be nicer overall in features and design for your subwoofer man... be conservative on gains... it has an adjustable SSF which is really something you want for a ported enclosure, so you can dial in the exact cutoff frequency you want.
  2. If it was me I'd go for the Q, the reason why most people end telling people to "just go for the BL" is because they are actually looking for high output without sounding like a fart cannon, not because the BL is better than the Q. It terms of objectives, the Q is meant to be more of a better sound output with great volume and the BL more output advantage with a good overall sound.. Again, the things I mentioned in my above post matter and should be more of a factor than just the driver itself...
  3. you should do a search on the forum... But things you should mention are what box type you will use, amp you are using, car you are driving. If people want to help you out and you want people to help you out, you should give a bit more info...
  4. Was that a car cover in the window or your shirt??? lmao... For reals, crazy flex... awesome stuff man!
  5. looks sick... you gonna carpet that box up???
  6. Reason being that it was a joke... lulz...
  7. I'd take the gain down even from where you have it now... Hopefully someone can chime in and offer other solutions rather than getting a different amplifier...
  8. oh sry Cable.. that isn't possible...
  9. Also, OP.. careful with that setup, your amp SSF is fixed at 25hz...
  10. very nice box! lovely truck!
  11. beautiful house man.... congrats!
  12. Nice! Saving photo....... transaction complete.
  13. Umm... lolz... I know that part... Problem was this happened while I was driving... Leaf debris flew up into the engine compartment and made its way up to the alternator charging bolt... Smelled smoke... Pulled over, opened hood.. see red on alternator, look closer... gust of wind and POOF!! Flames for funsies!!!
  14. nice... can you make the SSA 1920*1200... or something similar? I'd rock some dark tones with SSA logo as my wallpaper..
  15. Yea, well apparently alternators easily make dry leaves into flames... especially when they get trapped between the rubber boot that should be covering the charging bolt... Found this out on the NJ Turnpike ... Not a good thing at 2am coming from NYC...
  16. too sexy... I'd put out for a ride in that truck... no homo of course...
  17. understatement... Heat is the devil to all electronics... there is nothing worse in the world than heat build up on a component no matter the task it is intended for.. Good luck with your situation holley... hopefully it is quick..
  18. it does look insane though... sexy at the same time...
  19. Is that real??? Looks like a really well done photoshop of that Porsche
  20. good stuff... better see some pics and videos soon!!!
  21. looks amazing man... pictures came out pretty nice....
  22. Yea, I'm trying to get a DC Power but they haven't responded to me yet so I can't spend my money lol
  23. nice.... seen too much of this in the computer repair department as well... lol
  24. If DC Power is fine with the setup and it makes sense then I'd go for that part. As far as the amp goes, if you haven't purchased it then look into something a little less robust. If you're set on it or already own the amplifier then keep gain to a minimum depending on what route you go. Things to think about: Will 2 BTLs fit in their optimal enclosures? Ported or sealed? BTLs are meant to be ported so lets hope you have the right space. Are you going to deaden the hell out if the car? What front stage are you going to install?
