  1. Bump... Any of the even visitors read through? I'm confuzzled by this finding today....
  2. is that you man? I didn't realize.. I kept seeing a woman in all those vids... Those it was a soccer mom's ride... lulz
  3. LoL.... Glad to hear that lance... Also... OP.... Youtube the Xcon or even the Khaotik enclosures...You will find the setup in a burgundy SanteFe that sounded amazing even through the youtubes... Found:
  4. was that for me??
  5. well here in lies the problem... were you running those Sonys off of the Sundown amplifier? If so then you possibly had a "louder" sound system... So I'm not well educated enough on the Dcon to say... But my guess would be that it'd be similar to the Sonys loudness but sound alot better? I hope someone else jumps in on this... Check out these threads that were actually started by me about the SSA Dcons..: and Some good info in those threads...
  6. LOL.... geez... Good post TB LT.... Now that's some information to work with.... H - most puzzling way of putting it... what do you mean by SQ... sometimes it = maintaining of lows ; for others it = loudness with no distortion ; others it = being able to produce a wider response(frequency) My assumption because of your limited usage of items is that you just want to be able to push it loud and not sound like an ass fart? Cuz then that could virtually be hundreds of woofers... If you just want better that the Sony woofers then that ends up making the selection even greater... I've heard Sonys and they just produce random frequency with no real formula... I'd say you could go SSA Icon for one at any size really... Image Dynamics have decent loudness on their budget woofers but if you go higher than can be <> an ICON .... Also the Sundown SAs are def good to give a listen... I was looking to just sound better with my setup and haven't settled on a woofer yet... SA looks like it might be a winner for me cuz I don't wanna throw 500w at a Dcon and be an arseho for not properly setting gains when I get it...lol I'd say you could go for a Dcon and go ported like everyone and their mother recommended to me at first for 300-400watts from the amplifier.... If you find some vids with that setup you will see how it can be.... And on top of that you're in a SUV which will get filled with bass....
  7. Just did this for purpose of realizing how to do it... (setting the gain) My voltage for the JL Audio amp is like almost spot on...: Now because I did this I checked the battery voltage with the car on...: ^^is that right???^^ 30.1v ??? impossible.. am I reading it wrong?
  8. Also, I'd be running in-line fuses for extra protection from the aux/rear battery to the amps...
  9. ahhh.... I thought that connecting the negatives would make a better "ground"... okay... I was misinformed... So then the first picture minus the battery negatives together makes better sense then???
  10. yes if you wanna go that route... that is how the cable works... but like M5 stated... the rack amp is better...
  11. you can get wires from monoprice.com and probably find a quarter jack to RCA wire.... Shouldn't be hard....
  12. 1. How do I know or measure for this? I have a DMM already... 2. Why?
  13. Hmm... I didn't expect that one... I didn't take any measurements... If I took a educated guess the battery ground would be longer than the amp grounds... Would one way have a positive impact compared to the other?
  14. Does this make sense? Am I looking at this right? What I would like to do it setup my starter battery to an aux battery... I can connect the 2 negative terminals from both batteries okay, is it safe? Also, would I then still have to ground the aux battery to chassis? is it just good to have an extra ground off the aux battery? Could the amps be connected to the negative terminals of the aux battery if I have both terminals from the 2 batteries connected? Help me make sense of this or tell me how to do this better... Didn't think this was advanced so I made a generic post... thanks guys or does this work better?
  15. funny how seeing the numbers makes you wanna go higher.... See tons of friends fall into that groove....
  16. +1 especially since you're mentioning engine whine
  17. I had to quote that as well.... lolz... Honesty = Best
  18. M5... it seems like he is getting coached into posting the right information..... lol.... but yea, OP, M5 doesn't like vague threads... so more detail pls....
  19. Any photos of the upgrades? I want to judge you on cleanliness... lolz
  20. Wait so all I have to do is ask more common sense questions and you guys will create a whole thread to help me out??? That's awesome!! Well, I think I'd rather open 30 topics at a time.. Some involving hygiene.. That cool with you guys?
