When you say TL you mean a t-line enclosure? Also, what year model L7?

Was there an audible pop from the amp itself? If you are not worried about any warranty you could open her up and see if anything looks out of the norm.

Yeah me too, I have been trying to design the best box for 2-12" in the future. What program did you use, just curious? I use a Box Calculator that I downloaded from a member on this forum, cant remember his name though. I did the same thing. From a user...ExpoSport...on ***. Everyone says it is really accurate. Haha. You cannot seal a BTL. Sorry for the mix up. I noticed that after I posted that I accidentally put that in there. Figured it didn't make much difference cause if the OP already had seen the specs on the website then it was already known that sealed is not recommended.

Honestly nobody can answer that question can this get louder than this setup (or give you the best and accurate answer because their are to many variables). Sometimes you just gotta find what you want and if its not loud enough for you add on or upgrade what you have (thats what car audio is about upgrading till you have what you want). I would go with the horns and a nice mid-range and if thats not enough for you then step up to a three-way setup or buy you some speakers with a high sensitivity, take a lot of power and good amp. There is a dude on here that has 4-15 xcons and look at his buil I think he has a three way in his doors, ask him he will be able to guide you in what will be loud enough or close to for your setup. Do you know who? BTW. Thumpper is the guy with the XCONs

Sealed or ported. What is your source for the "smaller enclosure?" I would think that Fi is gonna recommend what works for their stuff.

For sealed, I was told that 5 cubes would work very well. I read on here somewhere that for ported 7 cubes with 100 sq in of port is ideal.

I am not familiar with Fi so I can't help you on the options. But with that amount of power. Big 3 for sure. If you are using a stock alternator then it is strongly recommended that you get a second battery.
