  1. Oh my, thanks for clarifying that m5! I absolutely did read that wrong. I would still like to buy one because I find my peers asking me to help them with their bass amps frequently and i feel comfortable setting my own settings by ear but with other peoples cars i would like to use an O-scope just in case i mess up. I would like to have very little liability. So, if i find one on ebay like... ebay, o-scope would that be able to accurately set gains? If so, why and if so, why not? Thanks =]
  2. Thanks 95 honda, that's what i was looking for. I'll probably just buy a cheapy now to probably set my gains and then when i do realize i need something more complex, i'll buy another one. Won't be for a couple years anyways! thanks!
  3. Do you mind sharing with us what exactly the level is set to? And the other settings as i asked before please? And the head-unit settings? Maybe if you respond to people other than the "douche bags" we can get off the ugly tone of this thread
  4. Yeah they came up on the google serach. But they also make $40,000 o-scopes, and i can find some of there products on ebay for around $100 new, and everything inbetween. So I suppose I'm asking for someone to narrow it down for me. Like obviously there are some features on the high-end products that don't apply to me or anyone really that isn't studying signal processing
  5. what are your settings on the amp? (i mean every knob) What head unit are you running and what are the settings on that? Hopefully we can figure this out
  6. I've been thinking about buying an Oscilloscope for a while now. What should i be looking for when it comes to buying one? What makes one durastically better than the other? For know it will be used solely for setting gains to insure minimal clipping, but I would like it to be able to do whatever else one would do with an Oscilloscope. Seeing as I'm an Electrical Engineering major I know it will most likely come in handy in my future so I would like to get one that has a wide range of uses. So what should i be looking for when it comes to the specifications of an o-scope? Thanks for your time.
  7. Welcome man! Whats the story on your Screenname? I like

if it was me, 4 sundown Saz-3500d. You can basically buy whatever you want for that much money... what vehicle do you have in which you can do a box big enough for 4 eighteens and not a wall?

    Daiily or comp set up?
  11. I use a table-top vice like Julian suggested and then put solder over every place the wire touches the terminal. Then cover with shrink tubing of course. Works flawlessly and really not that hard at all. If you have a vice, and aren't prone to having seizure while using a vice, i wouldn't buy the hydraulic crimper unless you're anxious to spend money or you have other uses for it. I must have crimped over fifteen 0 gauge terminals using the vice and it works fine and doesn't take too long. It's extremely easy too.
  12. Yeah 50ft of 0 gauge is a good estimate i would say
  13. Woah. nevermind. He changed his whole store set-up alot. Evidently he doesn't sell on ebay anymore? His Iraggi site doesn't seem to be working for me... Sorry that i couldn't help man. Good luck.
  14. I never e-mailed him. I found his products on his Ebay store. As far as i know, it's the only place online to get one. I'm not too sure about which alternator you should use. I bought mine because it fit my budget and i knew it would supply enough power. With as many batteries as you should have for 2 BTLS, i honestly don't know. Someone else more informed could answer that. My GUESS is that a 260 amp alt could handle it, but a 320 would put less stress on it. You should be having at least two extra batt's in the back for those two saz's.
  15. Well, are you competing? For daily a 2500-d on each is plenty of power assuming you've followed reccomended enclosure size. If you plan on building his set-up for comps, then by all means
  16. That's awesome man! I wish i kept some of the stuff i made in highschool... (just last year). Keep up the good work bro!
  17. If you don't mind me asking, where in metro detroit are you from? 'Tis a big place
  18. Nice to see another writer on the the forum! Personally, the song wasn't complex enough for me to be a song that long. The complexity of each part was great, but there just wasn't enough different parts. It sounds like pretty much a verse, chorus, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, ect song. The song just doesn't vary enough for me to keep interested for that long. At halfway i was begging for a break but it was just more chorus and more verse! But the stuff you have is good, i like it, but i think in order for the song to be complete, it needs more. What's your experience with music? What software are you using? I would have liked a more interesting bass-line but that's just me. I think what you have here is a great IDEA for a song. A great start to develop a full length song. overall i did enjoy the song, untill around the 2:00 minute marking.
  19. Father had the new SHO for 8 months as a lease. Quite personally, it's just too heavy for me. But there are pluses. the 365 horse power and the all wheel drive mainly. I also found the interior really nice and comfortable. It didn't feel too cheap or anything of the sort. It's not as sporty as some cars out there but I wouldn't rule it out. Any limit to the amount of doors/usable seats?
  20. Don't know if you were aware, but the Trololol video used to be a real song with real words but the country of origin of the singer decided that the content wasn't appropriate so the government made him change it so he still made the song with just jibberish. You can watch the interview on youtube as well which explains it

  23. It's kind of funny that this has come up here on SSA. The majority of the money I spent on my system came from my profits in the market, mostly in Ford Stock. Now, being as young as I am, I don't play in it much. I've also been known to short sell stock, mostly google and precious minerals. I'm definately thinking of getting back into the investing game. The recession obviously hit hard, but for investing via stocks, it did have a benefit. Ford stock dipped all the way to around $1.20 or something of that matter and now its around $12.20! Man i wish i held onto mine longer... I think it's something that if you have the time to put into, you should definately do. Not sure if that's what you were looking for in a response, but it's my own personal experience. my little personal experience.
  24. I would have to say difinately fuse between battery and amp. Putting fuses on everything can save your equipment and then all you have to do is buy a fuse if a short happens. I like to play it safe, but putting a fuse between battery and amp is just common sense in my opinion.
  25. Question: Are the fuses in the distro block replaceable? Or if you short one of them out do you need to buy an entire new block? Looks like a fun project!
