Welcome to the IHoP
I was down there hoping to find a job, my aunt and uncle live there. It didn't work for more than one reason, but there definitely weren't any jobs.

Welcome to the IHoP
LOL there's another building there setup differently and that's what I thought of every time I saw it. You could drift around their little circle landscape palm tree outside, into the garage that has a 90* bend and then out the other side....and continue on around if you wanted. of course when you were done i'm sure the condo association would be waiting for you with a nice huge fine.

Welcome to the IHoP
I think it would be awesome from oct-april, while i was there the heat was pretty bad but the fucking bugs were just obnoxious. The city was completely dead too, not that haysi is any better. I did get to see my first toe-biter though! I would have preferred to see him in his natural setting, not to find him swimming in the hot tub with me. I still saved his life, no harm no foul i suppose. Adrian, i saw him pull up that day in the vette (first time i've ever seen it without the cover actually) so i ran and grabbed the camera. When i saw him spraying it I was actually walking the dogs so no chance for a pic

Welcome to the IHoP
nothing at all, that was taken the day after. The previous day he had his pressure washer and was spraying it with the cover on. I have no proof that would scratch the CC but I certainly wouldn't attempt it either. The car barely visible in that pic is his as well, a lexus or infinity, can't remember which now but it's his daily driver and it amused me that he would abuse the corvette's paint instead of using the dd as a cover spray vehicle. Shit where he was he could have put the damn cover on the stucko wall behind him and sprayed it.

Official: Show Off Your Shots Thread!!
Well I am on a different computer today and none of the "artifacts" are present so it must have just been a resolution issue on the laptop I usually use. I am using a set of magnifiers off ebay on the end of a canon Rebel xTi and most shots I use a 28-105mm canon lens (but i believe this is a 35mm lens, can't remember honestly) . So yes most shots probably are in the 35-55 range. I usually take multiple steps on the focus and use Helicon focus to bring them all in to focus but recently I've been lazy and simply have 30 of the same shots saved (i picked random ones to upload too...super lazy) I have almost no experience with photography btw, i am a biolgist so my focal points are usually not photographically relevant either. I will try a little higher f-stop and see if I can get any more depth of field as well. As of now I understand most of the terminology but I can never equate it to the shot when I'm taking it (or reviewing it). Here's a few more and I'll try to maintain the exif data for you as well....so long as photobucket doesn't swipe it. pps i never crop my images, only because I hate the idea of losing any information.

so it would be possible for you to get there fast, and then take it slow. That's where we want to go, to the fountain of youth i mean. check that, i want the fountain of "don't age anymore" fuck youth.

Something is wrong, Help me please
It all comes down to install. You can find people breaking the 150 mark with a single 8, they tune properly and chase #'s. The important thing is this...figure out what YOU want to achieve before you start setting goals. If your setup makes you happy you shouldn't let a youtube video make you less happy.

Welcome to the IHoP
guy downstairs is spraying off his corvette with the car cover still on it. I don't use covers but just watching it made my clear coat cringe. (i would have at least put the cover on another car to spray it off, he has a lexus)

Old school Alpine deadhead decks
having no internal amp doesn't mean they're made with higher quality parts, just that there's less chance of introducing noise. Should they sound better, yes, are they guaranteed to, no. almost the same reason some units allow you to turn off the display, anything that the HU does that isn't making wanted sound has a chance of introducing unwanted sound. That being said I have no experience with any alpine units so I can't comment on their quality but I've heard great things about the 7998.

give me a bad rep

Welcome to the IHoP
fuck that, i get vertigo like crazy, i'd fall right off. I am scared of heights because of the vertigo but give me about 20-30seconds without moving and it goes away and then i'm 100% fine. even if it's a small height and it catches me by surprise i'll get so dizzy that sometimes i fall regardless. In bass pro shops the overlook that is above the fishing rods fucking kills me, something about the depth perception/long ass rods makes it very hard for my brain to understand the distance. At the shop we tested this many times by me riding an empty rack up to get something, i'd have to hold on with both hands, let it get to the top, wait a minute, then i could run from one side to the other. Work on getting down the boxes of mufflers and forget that i'm working 8' in the air then lose my balance when i get a glimpse of the floor below. I definitely can't handle it on flat land either, growing up in the mountains i climbed trees all the time with no problem but i was never the highest thing around, if i was on the tower in the video i would have shit myself.

Wiring different ohm mids together in parallel?
if you're set on using both sets of speakers just get a separate amp to run the 8ohm speakers, that way you at least get some gain control...for sq :-P
