Welcome to the IHoP
usually a log or piece of equipment rolling down the tree-less mountain was the culprit in the injuries I hear about. Actually, lately I've heard of a few people getting killed by the trucks, going uphill on a muddy old trail and it slides back down, the driver tries to jump out of the truck and gets caught under it and dies....i wish i was making that up

hahaha oh boy. In my training today they told us logging is like the second most dangerous occupation, aside from commercial fishing. But shoot I bet most of that is because of the saw. Eliminate that and it's probably the safest job! the chainsaw is not even close to the most dangerous part, that shit is fucking nuts. A lot of my family worked as loggers and aside from getting raped on pay (make a lot when/if you get paid). All the injuries were usually from something going wrong or someone doing something stupid. Apparently the underwater welders are supposed to die a lot too though!

ebay parts, i think i paid $70 for the whole front end and am just now getting around to doing the driver's side. The only parts that were spendy were the lower control arms at $130 for the pair...but at the moment it makes more sense than buying a cheap beater (the devil you know)

so for the past few days i have been battling the stratus it will have new... inner/outer tie rods, upper ball joint, lower control arm with a new ball joint because you can't fucking press the stock one out...new wheel bearing and new sway bar links. Need new sway bar bushings but fuck it, it's a stratus with 170k!

I have applied for intro level lab tech jobs and haven't even gotten a call for an interview, either the job market is ultra horribly awful or my resume sucks ass

if you "built the car to be a road car, it's built for handling" please don't have completely 100% stock suspension and just engine mods...

since when does a license mean you're not a driving hazard anyway? a license in no way means you're a safe and competent driver, i definitely wasn't when I got mine, it just means I learned a handful's worth of info and passed their test (as well as drove 3 days for my track coach). So if I happen to not be able to get a license because I failed to turn in tags to my xfire that i totaled and has been caught up in legal bullshit....which can happen in VA, you think that if i drive I should go to jail so you can pay to keep me there till i learn my lesson?

should depend solely on your state

what...that the downside of putting so much focus on non-violent crimes is finally becoming evident? I think it's fucking perfect personally. Pulling over a driver, discovering said driver has no permit, then letting them off with a warning? I have a big problem with that. People like that are just as dangerous as any gang banger... lmfao...how is driving without a license dangerous? people like you drawing conclusions from nothing is what has lead this country into the state of fear that exists today. if they were driving without a license....then they didn't have a license. that's all that means. and the cop that takes the time out of his day to pull that guy over and go through the bureaucracy of fining him (it's a stupid little fine too, at least in this state) really isn't protecting or serving...once again. dangerous is a violent crime, they didn't catch him killing anyone, or with a weapon, or using his vehicle as a weapon....he was driving a damn car.....i will sleep soundly every night if the only criminals left on the streets are people driving without a license
