just finished polishing the feed ramp on the woodsman, for such a nice gun the feed ramp is cheap as hell. a huge gap in it that will catch bullets very easily. I've been debating filling it in with jbweld.....yea it's that big, but no idea if JB weld can be sanded to an extremely smooth finish

something about like...1/4 of the cube is above the water line, so when it melts there will be that much more water IN the cup, but the ice cube's crystalline structure causes the same increase in volume, so melting will cause a reduction in it. PXE-E61 media test failure god damn it...my cd rom might be trashed, tried booting from two separate windows CDs and neither worked, i get that error. Could it be the unformatted HDD or a bad cd-rom...

when i try booting from the xp disk it says it's not a system disk. This must have to do with the brand new HDD and complete lack of drivers...right?

hmm, ok so i need a bootable winxp disk? i'm not really sure what i need actually, blank hd isn't doing it for me...maybe load dos then go from there...

i've been thinking about a 10/22 in .17hmr. just to have one. doesn't look like a damascus barrel, don't see the "twist" in the steel, though i know in later ones, that might not be as prevalant. IIRC, damascus also went away right after intro of smokeless as it can't handle the pressures of smokeless. "Laminated steel" and "damascus" is the same thing. no idea, the gunsamerica listing just says laminated steel. it will be taken to a smith before i shoot it, but it's got a lot of cleaning before it gets to the smith.

i had no idea...i have zero knowledge about shotguns but the roomie only shoots one type of shot in his old shotgun (i'm guessing the low brass you mention) and i was just going to follow his advice. it's not a stevens, just says "W. Richards Belgium" haven't even bothered looking it up either. It has some rust, needs a lot of cleaning. We do have a pair of Stevens' in the closet, both single shot, matching with two different barrel lengths (don't remember the lengths ATM)
