Come to the dark side my child definitely looks like i will be, i'll probably just make a rig so i can plug in the controller to setup the h701 and then just unplug it and use the 7996 to change presets. that way i don't have to worry about the other din slot. Even though i have tons of room in the dash to open it up to 2din

you can overlap or underlap on the 8053, i do so on the upper end

better IMO more flexible, the 8053 doesn't drop low enough on the mids or sub for my taste

if you don't want to read it then don't? if you're looking for SQ the size of the driver doesn't matter, the enclosure and type of driver matters a lot.
