Welcome to the IHoP
You can get a hell of a great bike for $300, I'd just look for something older with Deore XT derailleurs and components. Something that was $1500 in the late 90's should be in your price range now and can be nearly as sweet as the new stuff just a lb heavier or so. Guy at the local bike place actually mocked me today. Amazes me that people can be such dicks and still do any business. I was extremely tempted to ride up the road to the trek place and put the most expensive bike they had on my CC just to ride it back down to the other place and tell off the a$$hole. But i don't want to spend $2k on a bike.

Welcome to the IHoP
to all you bicycle people, i need advice, my 20year old ross bike has something screwy with it so i figure it's time for a new bike. It'll mainly just be for riding to and from class. Not wanting to spend more than $300 and the less the better. Probably just end up with a wal-mart special but figured i should get your opinions first.

Ultimate LSQ Enclosure
any of those enclosures will have good output while being able to hit low, if you tune to 28hz you'll lose a little output and gain a little low end, if you go with 33 it'll roll off a little quicker but have more output and probably have a more obvious peak

Welcome to the IHoP
there's a pic, i think i posted it before though, where you see the scrap metal there used to be a huge hole, half way around the wheel well. It's the battery box. We just covered it with scrap tin because it's not going to be the battery box any more so it doesn't have to be strong. a little more of the engine bay, as i was cleaning and prepping for secondskin that i am still wondering whether i should buy or not.

Welcome to the IHoP
brother called today, he has a paint booth. I misunderstood before, apparently it was there all along but it just wasn't being used for any big projects, guys are motorcycle people so tanks or the occasional fairing was all that it was used for.

Right amp for my Dual 1 Ohm Q 12
i don't even want to list the amount of equipment i've gone through in the past 2 years, i change every few months because i want to try something different. It played for 6 months fine, then i sold it and the avas, got two butler tube amps, then i had mark antony, and now the belle, and now i'm thinking of switching up again. the amp is perfectly stable at 1/2 ohm. I repeat, the amp is perfectly stable at 1/2 ohm, it also works fine at .5ohm :-D once again, if you would have read the above post, expect 1200-1400W which is more than sufficient. you will be fine with an orion 1200d at a half ohm load. there are no specs for the orion at 1/2 ohm, the factory did not list it at that impedance and as far as i know nobody has benched it at that. That is why i say expect 1200-1400. The amp does an easy 1200W @ 1ohm, closer to 1400 in most cases, but it really won't make a damn bit of difference to your ear.

Right amp for my Dual 1 Ohm Q 12
yes thats the one, mine ran at 1/2 ohm for at least 6 months while i was running dual avas. mine was daily and it did fine. the amp is already under-rated and does about 1400W @1ohm, you won't see much gain at 1/2 ohm.

Welcome to the IHoP
I'm really hoping that my brother lucks up with his current job, they've been talking about putting in a paint booth just for him which means i could do whatever the hell i wanted there. If that doesn't work out and i actually spend a lot of $$ on paint, i'd be tempted to drive 10 hours to get a nice place to spray it (and a decent compressor)

Welcome to the IHoP
while there, there was an older guy talking about some movie (had the DVD in his hand) he kept talking about how it was 2 hours long and that was a good length for a movie. The whole time they were ringing me up this customer kept talking about this DVD. Right as i'm turning to leave i catch a glimpse of the dvd "Slut-a-Nutter"

Right amp for my Dual 1 Ohm Q 12
if you can find an orion 1200d (the silver ones) they will do the power you want and will run at 1/2 ohm. Should be about 200-250 shipped used

Welcome to the IHoP
I don't know if i posted before but the reason i want to paint it yellow is because it's my nephew's favorite color. I don't just mean he likes it, kid is 4 years old, extremely intelligent, but was going through my trunk last time i was home, found a piece of yellow plastic and kept it in his pocket. So i figure even if i hate the color it has some other significance

Welcome to the IHoP
I am actually a little depressed at the capabilities of the Eclipse as well. My 8454 has no where near the flexibility of the 880. yep, everything is "good enough" but that's never good enough for me. I probably won't be happy till i have a p9 combo in.

Welcome to the IHoP
dad used to be a painter, did it for about ...20 years, but hasn't done it for about 20 years either. So he isn't familiar with any of the new paints and we're both in fear that he won't be able to spray with a HVLP gun and we don't have access to the kind of compressor he said he needed for his siphon feeds. the rest of the car is mainly me being picky as hell and getting every detail nice before moving on, while he keeps telling me it was good enough hours ago

Welcome to the IHoP
is anyone at all interested in the eclipse 8053 and BLA? even for a steal of a price? I keep changing my mind every day about HU but i just want more tuning capability
