Can the 9861 control the H701 ? not very well, really it is best to just change presets with it and have the controller elsewhere ishboo Fricking Jeep dash. Need to measure how tall is an Alpine flip-out screen and see if I could squeeze it in the 9861 would work fine for you, like sean said, it doesn't do it well, but what that means is that it's a complicated thing that takes time to do through the unit. The controller is actually very small and you could plug it in to set it up then just unplug it and stick it in the glove compartment. From there the 9861 would be fine for manually tweaking a setting now and again.

The D105/106 W500/505 is completely text. hmmm that makes my choice a little more complicated.

who here is running 701 with a double din alpine unit? If i go TC i'll be going that route so i can actually use all the crap i have sitting around. That would unfortunately involve getting rid of the 9861

don't worry about fixing the hole, just put a dab of silicone on it to keep it from getting worse, you'll never hear a difference.

use some glue to attach the terminals back to the basket and a screw if the holes are still there (and not broken out) other than that you can wang it till she does die, no reason to get a recone unless you're that unhappy with the appearance

god damn it, i just realized new car = new sound deadening. not exactly keen on the idea of ripping apart a brand new car, even less keen on the idea of installing an audio system without deadening though.

my arm is fucking aching and i can't figure out why. I don't think i did anything to it, haven't worked it too hard. It's the bad arm, so it's starting to worry me at this point. there's a place on the forearm, very distal that's beyond tender, but no bruising. It carries up into the wrist but not in to the hand. i really really hope it's just an internal bruise and not something fucking up. Last thing i need is for my body to decide to reject something now.

btw, most fun car i drove today was by FAR a mini cooper s turbocharged drover the supercharged version about 2 years ago and loved it, the turbo is even better. even with the auto tranny that car surprised the hell out of me
