watched the 40 year old virgin, funny as hell, other news, i'm sick as fudge and my sinuses are bleeding. I went out and bought some amaretto and i've drank about half of it, keeps my throat numb so i don't feel like jumping off a building. and i don't think i'll be better for school on monday..fudge
  3. just get a set of offroad lights and put them on the roof, grab a couple 1,000,000 candle power spotlights and duct tape them to the bumper. i've used some of the ghetto wal-mart ones int he past and i can't really tell they help me in the fog, but they help a little to light up more road

you know, its times like these, when i'm dealing with the gf that i think...maybe gay people have the right idea....having sex with men aside, a life not having to deal with female dogy gfs sounds pretty sweet
  6. i don't know really, nothing is ever set in stone with me. If its a higher price it'll have to wait longer to be bought is the only thing. I know thats not much of an answer, but its all i gots. Basically I'm thinking of putting together a component system like dave was showing me instead of just buying a comp set, but not all at once since the individual components were pricey. But if I went that way i'd want an active setup. wow i just realized how confusing that was...i'm thinking about buying the orion component setups, but an alternative is buying sep woofers then tweets and then active crossovers. I'm just not sure how much money i'm wanting to dump into the system. Anddddd today my engine started this high vibration thing...like a 100hz tone being played kind of vibration so i might not be buying anything, lol.
  7. I'm looking into maybe getting an active crossover. I've found Audiocontrol and that seems to be a bit of a fan favorite on here. I was just wondering if anyone else reputable makes them? I can find tons of boss, pyramid, etc but no names that i recognize. (this will be for mids/tweets, sub isn't necessary)
  8. my gf is registered here but i dont' think she's ever posted, just reads. she's scared she'll sound dumb and everyone will make fun of her :-P
  9. i'm going to call bullcrap, no way thats your first install. looks awesome, i'm planning on doing something with my trunk and i hope it turns out at smooth looking as yours. --i want my trunk back--
  10. planning out my boxes took about 100x as much time as actually cutting/assembling. Plan everything out, draw it out and things will turn out much better. Remember that if you use 3/4 MDF and you're making a square, not all the sides are going to be cut the same length (two pieces should be ~1.5" less than the other two. If you're struggling with straight lines, i usually find a straight board, and clamp it to use as a guide. (the guide on my saw was 1.5" from the blade, so if i clamped the guide down 1.5" away i could run the saw with the guide pressed right up against the board, perfectly straight cuts every time) Most of all, don't get upset, seems like every time i messed up, it was something simple but i was so pissed i looked right over it.

we had all the family here, had to have turkey day yesterday, it was nice though, and now most of them are gone (we had like 14 people here, two big ass turkeys, a ham, all the fixin's) it was a feast. My gf's parents blow though, she has to work so they aren't even going to have a thanksgiving dinner for her. they make her feel like chit all the time and whats worse? if she told them she came over here to eat they'd guilt trip the fudge out of her, so she has to lie...
  12. I had it explained to me one time, but i've forgotten most of the important parts, basically a higher compression engine is going to make your turbo work much harder. Lower the compression and the turbo does more work with less effort, plus i mean if a higher compression matters that much to you its just a few psi to make it up if you have a good turbo.

  20. wait i just noticed that you have a two channel amp unless i read wrong. Just hook up one channel to each coil....thats assuming that they're playing mono and not stereo though, someone else here will be able to tell you if that'll work "ok"
  21. Don't know if they told you this already or not, but basically this is what you need to do is run a wire from one coil's positive (red) to the other coil's negative(black). Then from your amp, run a wire from one channel's positive(+) to the free positive(red) on your sub. Then from the free negative(black) on your sub to the other channel's negative(-) on the amp. So you aren't running your left channel, or your right, but yet the + and - that it says to use when bridging
