the signal will be coming from an onkyo receiver. adjustable crossover but no subsonic, though the sub will be sealed anyway. only problem is the lowest crossover freq is 60hz. A little high for my taste.

do you want to be able to control the IPOD from the HU? I don't have any experience with that style of connectivity but i think both the alpine and pioneers do it but you have to buy the additional hookup for it.

the Q is a 15". I would be happy with less power but I like the idea of having it on tap as well. This will probably be going in the gf's new room so the next time her roomie's wanna be loud we can have a little contest.

sorry, what the job is doesn't really matter. What matters is that i'd have access to pretty much any and every tool known to man. That's including CNC machines and even 3d modelers(don't know the proper name for them)
